Omschrijving
Inleiding
Herenhuis met schuur, genaamd Villa Flora, gebouwd in 1877-1879 voor Johan Hendrik Thone, glasfabrikant te Nieuw Buinen. Op de kavel stond eerder een steenfabriek. Met woongedeelte in eclectische stijl met bijzondere ornamentering, o.a. een zinken beeld van flora. Erfbeplanting. Deel van het interieur verkeert in oorspronkelijke staat.
Omschrijving
Herenhuis met schuur (koetshuis/timmermanswoning).
Woongedeelte over twee bouwlagen met kelder en plint, vanaf een vierkante plattegrond onder een met gedekt zadeldak.
Aan de voorzijde een symmetrische topgevel met schijnvoegen op de begane grond en schalken op consoles vanaf de verdieping. In de geveltop blindnissen. met in de geaccentueerde middentravee de entree met hardstenen stoep met zinken leeuwen op zinken sokkel, dubbele paneeldeur met sierroosters en rondgebogen bovenlicht. Op de verdieping een balkon op zinken consoles. Dubbele openslaande deuren in een loggia op kolommen. In de top een rondboog nis met een zinken beeld van de godin Flora. Aan weerszijden van de middenrisaliet op beide verdiepingen twee T-vensters met rondboogvormig bovenlicht onder een profiellijst met kuif.
In de zijgevels een zelfde geleding als in de voorgevel. Geen middenrisaliet maar een centrale pilaster. In de spaarvelden drie vensterassen met op beide verdiepingen een T-venster van genoemd type. Op de verdiepingscheiding een waterlijst.
In de hals rechtgesloten T-vensters.
Het bedrijfsgedeelte is opgetrokken in baksteen onder een zadeldak. De zijgevels zijn met steunberen in tien traveeën verdeeld. Per travee een rondboog nis met een halfrond stalvenster met radiale roedenverdeling. Langs de goot een sierlijst.
In de krimp aan de voorzijde een inrit.

At the front a symmetrical top gable with false joints on the ground floor and corbels on consoles from the first floor upwards. Blind recesses in the gable top. In the accentuated central bay the entrance with stone step with zinc lions on zinc base, double panelled door with ornamental grilles and arched fanlight. On the first floor a balcony on zinc consoles. Double casement doors in a loggia on columns. At the top an arched recess with a zinc statue of the goddess Flora. On either side of the central risalit on both storeys two T-windows with arched fanlight under a moulding with cornice.
In the side elevations the same articulation as in the front elevation. No central risalit but a central pilaster. In the spandrels three window axes with on both storeys a T-window of the aforementioned type. On the storey division a drip moulding.
In the neck straight-sided T-windows.
The business section is built in brick under a gabled roof. The side elevations are divided by buttresses into ten bays. Per bay an arched recess with a semi-circular stable window with radial glazing bars. Along the gutter an ornamental moulding.
At the front in the junction an entrance drive.
