Omschrijving
SLUISMEESTERSWONING behorende tot de in 1877 aangelegde Reitdiepssluizen en gebouwd in diezelfde tijd. Rechthoekig onderkelderd verdiepingloos gebouw, opgetrokken uit rode Groninger handvormsteen en gedekt door een omlopend met blauwe platte Friese pannen belegd samengesteld schilddak met hoekschoorstenen met borden; verkropte kroonlijst. De gevel aan wadzijde is voorzien van een blokbepleistering; voorts gepleisterde plint, hoekpilasters en deuromlijsting. De voorgevel, met boven de ingang een dakhuis, is symmetrisch ingedeeld: in de as de ingangspartij met aan weerszijden twee zesruitsschuiframen in getoogde omlijsting; hardstenen stoep; keldervensters. In de linker- en rechterzijgevels eveneens zesruitsschuiframen met stukomlijsting.; die aan wadzijde kenden in de jaren zestig nog houten persiennes. Alleen het hoofdblok is beschermd; de recente (ver)nieuwbouw aan de achterzijde van het pand valt buiten de bescherming.

Description
LOCKMASTER'S DWELLING belonging to the Reitdiepssluizen laid out in 1877 and built at the same time. Rectangular cellar-level single-storey building, constructed from red Groninger hand-moulded brick and covered by a surrounding hipped roof laid with blue flat Frisian tiles with corner chimneys with boards; coved cornice. The gable on the wad-side is provided with block rendering; moreover rendered plinth, corner pilasters and door frame. The front gable, with a roof-window above the entrance, is symmetrically arranged: in the axis the entrance section with two six-pane sash windows in arched frames on either side; stone step; cellar windows. In the left and right side gables likewise six-pane sash windows with stucco frames; those on the wad-side still had wooden blinds in the nineteen sixties. Only the main block is protected; the recent (re)construction at the rear of the property falls outside the protection.
