Omschrijving
POORTGEBOUW. Op vierkante grondslag gebouwd rood bakstenen poortgebouw met een segmentvormige doorgang onder een topgevel. Het met leien gedekte zadeldak draagt een gemetselde schoorsteen op de nok. Het pand is als conciërgewoning in 1929 door de architect H. van der Kloot Meyburg gebouwd en is thans in gebruik door de Vereniging Hofwijck. Regelmatig ingedeelde voorgevel heeft aan weerszijden van de open doorgang een venster, op de verdieping drie kruiskozijnen en een klein venster in de topgevel. Onder dit laatste venster een hardstenen gevelsteen met de inscriptie 'HOFWIJCK'. De achtergevel kent een gelijke indeling met keldervensters. In de zijgevel (zuidwest) de toegangsdeur met links daarvan een drie horizontale vensters. Onder de daklijst twee vensters. In de zijgevel (noordoost) twee maal twee vierkante vensters en onder de daklijst een dubbel kozijn. Voor het poortgebouw een ommuurd vierkant voorplein met hekwerk. De lage bakstenen muur sluit aan op twee uitstekende hogere muurgedeelten van de voorgevel van het poortgebouw. Het smeedijzeren toegangshek met twee hekvleugels heeft een voor de jaren dertig kenmerkende vormgeving. In de doorgang een dubbel houten hekwerk met beslag. Aan weerskanten van de doorgang een toegangsdeur. Aan de rechter zijde van de deur in de zuidwestgevel een driekozijn.

GATEHOUSE. Built on a square ground plan, a red brick gatehouse with a segmental passage under a stepped gable. The slate-covered gabled roof carries a brick chimney on the ridge. The building was constructed as a concierge dwelling in 1929 by the architect H. van der Kloot Meyburg and is currently in use by the Vereinigung Hofwijck. The regularly divided front facade has a window on either side of the open passage, three cross windows on the first floor and a small window in the stepped gable. Below this last window a hard stone facade stone with the inscription 'HOFWIJCK'. The rear facade has a similar division with basement windows. In the side facade (southwest) the entrance door with three horizontal windows to its left. Below the cornice two windows. In the side facade (northeast) two pairs of square windows and below the cornice a double frame. In front of the gatehouse a walled square forecourt with fencing.
