Inleiding
Dit voormalig BADHUIS werd in 1919 in opdracht van L.S.J. Spanjaard voor de arbeiders van de N.V. Stoomspinnerijen en -weverijen Spanjaard, naar een ontwerp van de architect A. Beltman (Enschede) in neo-classicistische stijl gebouwd. Het pand staat met de voorgevel parallel aan de Stationsstraat in het centrum van Borne.
Tegenwoordig is het in gebruik als klompenfabriek.
Omschrijving
Pand met een T-vormige plattegrond, over één bouwlaag opgetrokken in rode baksteen. De zadeldaken worden boven de kopse gevels beëindigd in de vorm van frontons met in het tympaan een roosvenster met Davidster. De frontons worden gedragen door lisenen met daartussen, onder de dakaanzet, een tandlijst. Op het dak staat een hoge vierkante gemetselde schoorsteen. De muuropeningen worden segmentboogvormig afgesloten met een hanekam. De voorgevel van het pand (O) heeft een centraal gelegensegmentboogvormige vensterpartij met bovenlichten. Aan weerszijden daarvan bevindt zich een deur met bovenlicht.
De zijgevels (Z en N) zijn identiek en hebben in het risalerende deel een dubbel en twee enkele vensters met bovenlichten. In het terugliggende deel zijn eveneens enkele vensters geplaatst. In de zuidelijke zijgevel bovendien een rechtgesloten schuifdeurDe achtergevel (W) heeft vier vensters.

This former BATHHOUSE was built in 1919 commissioned by L.S.J. Spanjaard for the workers of the N.V. Stoomspinnerijen en -weverijen Spanjaard, designed by architect A. Description
Building with a T-shaped floor plan, constructed over one storey in red brick. The gabled roofs are terminated above the gable ends in the form of pediments with a rose window with Star of David in the tympanum. The pediments are supported by pilasters with, between them, below the roof line, a dentil course. On the roof stands a tall square brick chimney. The wall openings are closed with segmental arches with a decorative brick course. The front facade of the building (E) has a centrally located segmental arch window section with fanlights. On either side of this is a door with fanlight.
The side facades (S and N) are identical and have a double and two single windows with fanlights in the projecting section. Single windows are likewise installed in the recessed section. In the southern side facade furthermore a flush sliding door. The rear facade (W) has four windows.
