Sluismeesterswoning, in 1872 gebouwd aan het Kanaal door Walcheren.
Omschrijving
De villa-achtige woning bestaat uit een begane grond en een kapverdieping en heeft een min of meer kruisvormige plattegrond en een zadeldak in kruisvorm. Opgetrokken uit roodbruine baksteen, voorzien van gepleisterde plint, waterlijsten en decoratieve omkaderingen boven vensters en deuren; muurankers.
Iedere zijde van de woning is voorzien van een topgevel; begane grond 3 of 4 traveeën breed met een reeks getoogde 2x3 ruits schuifvensters; in de top een schuifraam met roedeverdeling met driehoekig bovendeel voorzien van stalen, radiaalvormige roedeverdeling. Noord- en zuidgevel voorzien van respectievelijk achter- en voordeur in middentravee.
Zadeldak in kruisvorm gedekt met gesmoorde kruispannen.
Eenvoudige gootbetimmeringen en windveren.
In het interieur resteert, vanwege recente verbouwingen, slechts een klein aantal originele onderdelen, zoals bijvoorbeeld houten binnenluiken voor de vensters aan weerszijden van de voordeur en in de bijkeuken.

The villa-like dwelling consists of a ground floor and an attic storey and has a more or less cruciform plan and a cross-shaped gabled roof. Built of reddish-brown brick, provided with plastered plinth, drip mouldings and decorative surrounds above windows and doors; ornamental wall anchors.
Each side of the dwelling is provided with a stepped gable; ground floor 3 or 4 bays wide with a series of arched 2x3 pane sash windows; at the top a sash window with glazing bars with triangular fanlight provided with steel, radial glazing bars. North and south facades provided with respectively rear and front doors in the central bay.
Cross-shaped gabled roof covered with smothered pantiles.
Simple gutter boarding and wind braces.
In the interior, due to recent alterations, only a small number of original components remain, such as for example wooden internal shutters for the windows on either side of the front door and in the pantry.
