Omschrijving
Inleiding

Description
Introduction
Around 1906 built COUNTRY HOUSE "Cramershof", designed in the Cottage style. In 1932 the upper storey of the house was remodelled by architect H.A. Pothoven from Amersfoort. The loggia in the rear facade was reduced in size at that time. The property is situated together with other monumental buildings on the edge of the Cramerswei behind a hedge, on the unpaved Cramersweg. In the period from 15 April 1921 to 18 April 1922 Cramershof was occupied by landscape architect P.H. Wattez.
Description
Based on a T-shaped floor plan raised over one storey, rendered in white, under a composite thatched hipped roof. The beam of the T forms the front section of the house on the north side. The roof of the stem cuts into the pitch of this volume, but is higher. On the eastern side of the beam a semicircular veranda was built under a thatched half-conical roof.
The facades are articulated by twelve-light windows and doors with shutters and semicircular rear-pane fanlights, all framed by two pilasters supporting a round arch.
In the middle of the front facade (N) is the main entrance, a wooden door under a round arch, between two windows. The veranda on the east facade consists of six Doric columns on which the roof rests and two man-high sixteen-light windows with semicircular fanlights, which are placed between four of these columns.
A sliding door provides internal access to the veranda. To the left of the wooden veranda also a two-part sliding door.
Above the rear facade (S) the roof ends in a half-hipped end. Beneath it a door and two windows are placed under a loggia.
In front of the right part of the western side facade - articulated by four windows and a door - a cellar hatch and a large chimney mark the location of the kitchen.
In the roof of the house on the north and east sides are four small roof dormers.
Valuation
The country house is of architectural-historical and urban planning importance because of:
- the Cottage style
- the spatial coherence with the other monumental villas on the Cramerswei
- the high degree of external integrity
