Inleiding
Schoorsteen van een fabriekscomplex voor wollen stoffen, bestaande uit enkele voormalige fabrieksgebouwen, schoorsteen en een woonhuis bij de fabriek. Het complex ligt in het hart van Delden en is van belang voor de geschiedenis van de textielindustrie. De overige gebouwen zijn dermate gewijzigd dat deze niet onder de bescherming vallen.
Beschrijving
De schoorsteen heeft een vierkante onderbouw van ruim 4 meter hoog, uitgevoerd in baksteen met verdiept liggende middenvelden. De onderbouw kraagt uit tot het platform waar de schacht uit oprijst. De totale schoorsteen is ca 28 meter hoog. De schacht is in donkerrode baksteen uitgevoerd met onder de vroegere top een motief met ruiten en banden, in gele baksteen. Een boogfries ter plaatse van de oude bekroning is nog aanwezig. De bovenste 5.50 meter is later (ca 1910 ?) gebouwd in afwijkend materiaal en detaillering.
Waardering
De schoorsteen - is van architectuur-historische betekenis als goed en gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een fabrieksschoorsteen met enkele specifieke details. Binnen de groep van ca 15 bewaard gebleven schoorstenen van voor de eeuwwisseling is de schoorsteen uniek vanwege materiaalgebruik (niet de gebruikelijke radiaalsteen in combinatie met versiering in gele steen), de versiering en de vierkante voet. - is van stedenbouwkundige betekenis voor het stadsbeeld van Delden, gelegen in het centrum van de stad. - is van cultuur-historisch belang voor de geschiedenis van de textielindustrie als voorbeeld van een kleinschalige wollenstoffenfabriek.

The chimney has a square base of just over 4 metres high, executed in brick with recessed central panels. The base projects out to the platform from which the shaft rises. The total chimney is approximately 28 metres high. The shaft is executed in dark red brick with, below the former top, a motif with diamonds and bands, in yellow brick. An arch frieze at the level of the old capping is still present. The upper 5.50 metres was built later (circa 1910?) in different material and detailing.

The chimney - is of architectural-historical significance as a well and faithfully preserved example of a factory chimney with certain specific details.
