Inleiding
Het GRAFMONUMENT met putti bevindt zich op de Algemene Begraafplaats aangelegd in Harlingen rond 1865. Het staat, vanaf de ingang gezien aan de rand van het linker perk van de derde rij perken, niet ver van het pad. Het grafmonument is vervaardigd als herinnering aan Josina Wilhelma Scheuer-Braams 1841-1880. Het is gesigneerd: "L.P. Stracké fecit, Rotterdam". L.P. Stracké had zich in Rotterdam gevestigd, maar zijn familie kwam oorspronkelijk uit Westfalen.
Omschrijving
Het grafmonument is in zandsteen vervaardigd. De vierkante sokkel staat op een samengesteld basement waarop een kubusvormig blok is geplaatst. Aan de voorzijde hiervan is de natuurstenen grafsteen met opschrift aangebracht; op de andere zijden zijn doodssymbolen gebeeldhouwd, zoals kransen, slangen, fakkels e.d. Op de hoeken van de kubus zijn hoekpilasters aangebracht met spiegelvlakken en composiet kapitelen. De omtrek van de plaat op de kubus volgt in de hoeken de uitstekende omtrek van de kapiteeltjes. Op een hoge sokkel zijn putti geplaatst in verschillende houdingen en met een aantal doodssymbolen, zoals kransen en fakkels. De putti zijn rond een zuil gerangschikt. De zuil wordt met een tentvormige afsluiting bedekt waarop een pijnappel is aangebracht.

The GRAVE MONUMENT with putti is located on the General Cemetery established in Harlingen around 1865. It stands, viewed from the entrance at the edge of the left plot of the third row of plots, not far from the path.
