Inleiding
Dit blokje ARBEIDERSWONINGEN in Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl maakt deel uit van het sociale woningbouw-complex in het Havengebied. Het is tegelijkertijd gebouwd met de blokjes Nutstraat 5 t/m 13 en 10 t/m 16, Havenweg 41 t/m 53 (type D en C) in 1909, maar wordt met een ander type (F) aangeduid wegens de afwijkende plattegrond. Type E heeft een vierkante plattegrond, type C en D een rechthoekige. De gevelindeling van type F is gelijk aan die van type D. De woningen zijn aan de achterzijde voorzien van een tuin. Architect was de heer Lofvers, aannemer S. Bootsma uit Franeker.
Omschrijving
Het bouwblok wordt gedekt door een zadeldak met zwart gegolfde ongeglazuurde Friese pannen met (niet originele) dakkapellen op de dakhelling boven de voorgevel. Het bouwblok is uit bruine bakstenen opgetrokken, waarbij gele bakstenen zijn gebruikt voor de eenvoudige decoratieve elementen tussen de vensters. De zesruits vensters zijn voorzien van lichtgebogen strekken. Boven de houten deuren met vierruits bovendeel zijn lichtgebogen tweeruits bovenlichten geplaatst.
Waardering
Het blokje arbeiderswoningen Nutstraat 15, 17 en 19, gebouwd in Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl en aangeduid als type F (horend bij het sociale woningbouwcomplex van het Havengebied) is van bijzonder cultuurhistorisch belang:

Introduction
This block of WORKERS' HOUSING in Craftsman-traditional style forms part of the social housing complex in the Harbour Area. It was built at the same time as the blocks Nutstraat 5 to 13 and 10 to 16, Havenweg 41 to 53 (type D and C) in 1909, but is designated with a different type (F) on account of the different floor plan. Type E has a square floor plan, type C and D a rectangular one. The facade layout of type F is the same as that of type D. The dwellings are provided with a garden at the rear. The architect was Mr Lofvers, contractor S. Bootsma from Franeker.
Description
The building block is covered by a gabled roof with black corrugated unglazed Frisian tiles with (non-original) roof dormers on the roof slope above the front facade. The building block is constructed of brown brickwork, with yellow bricks used for the simple decorative elements between the windows. The six-light windows are provided with gently curved lintels. Above the wooden doors with four-light fanlight are placed gently curved two-light fanlights.
