Inleiding
KOETSHUIS van het landgoed Kruisdonk, ca. 1900, in een door elementen van neo-renaissance en chaletstijl beïnvloede bouwtrant. Gesitueerd aan de zuidelijke oprijlaan, tussen de portierswoning en het landhuis. Het koetshuis werd in 1992-1993 gerenoveerd en ten dele verbouwd. De inrijpoorten in voor- en zijgevels werden vervangen door vensters cq. nieuwe deuren. De zuid- en oostgevel werden geel gesausd. De glazen pui met kunststoffen geleding, geplaatst onder het lessenaarsdak boven de oorspronkelijke inrijpoort, is uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Het koetshuis heeft één bouwlaag plus zolderverdieping op een U-vormige plattegrond en bestaat uit een hoofdvolume waarop aan de gevelhoeken afgeschuinde uitbouwen onder schilddaken zijn geprojecteerd. Daartussen, boven de voormalige inrijpoort, een lessenaarsdak. De gevel met lessenaarsdak en uitbouwen is geörienteerd op het noorden, in de richting van het landhuis.
Het geheel wordt gedekt door schild- en lessenaarsdaken met leien in Maasdekking. Op het hoofdvolume een schilddak met verhoogde nok, waaronder aan de westzijde een opvallende duiventil is geplaatst, aan de oostzijde een luik. Boven de voormalige inrijpoort in de westelijke gevel een insteekkap met chaletoverstek en smeedijzeren windvaan met de initialen "L.B.". Drie dakkapellen op het achterdakvlak, twee boven de inrijpoort aan de voorzijde. De houten luiken van deze kapellen werden vervangen door rechthoekige kruiskozijnen. Op de nok van de hoekuitbouwen aan de voorgevel, waartussen een lessenaarsdak, een smeedijzeren bekroning. Nokschoorsteen. Bakgoten.
Het koetshuis heeft een hardstenen plint, bakstenen optrek in kruisverband met zes zandstenen speklagen. Zandstenen aanzet- en sluitstenen. Hardstenen dorpels en lateien.
Symmetrische ingedeelde noordgevel. In de twee noordelijke uitbouwen met afgeschuinde hoeken bevinden zich hoog onder de goot ingezette vierruits vensters, grotendeels gekoppeld en voorzien van zandstenen traceringen in zuilmotief. Rechthoekige T-vensters met kleine roedeverdeling. De noordelijke inrijpoort met zijdeuren wordt aan het oog onttrokken door een kunststoffen galerij.
De westelijke zijgevel is voorzien van twee steunberen met zandstenen afdekking, waartussen de segmentboogvormige opening van de inrijpoort, die inmiddels is vervangen door een segmentboogvormig kunststoffen kruiskozijn. Aan weerszijden van de poort twee rechthoekige zijlichten.
Boven de inrijpoort een strek met drie zandstenen sluitstenen, een rondboogvormig zoldervenster met kruisgeleding en kleine roedeverdeling onder een insteekkap met chaletoverstek. In de rondboog van dit venster drie zandstenen sluitstenen. Aan weerszijden, onder de bakgoot tweemaal twee gekoppelde vierruitsvensters met zandstenen tracering in zuilmotief.
De geel gesausde zuidgevel is onregelmatig ingedeeld. Vijf, regelmatig over de gevel verdeelde, tweevoudig verticaal ingedeelde segmentboogvensters met kleine roedeverdeling met strek. Daarboven acht onregelmatig verdeelde rechthoekige vierruitsvensters onder hardstenen lateien.
De geel gesausde oostgevel is symmetrisch. Aan weerszijden van en boven de door een rechthoekig kunststoffen kruiskozijn vervangen inrijpoort telkens twee rechthoekige kunststoffen kruiskozijnen. Zowel de poort als de vensters zijn geplaatst onder een hardstenen latei.
Tegen de westgevel staat een geel gesausde halfhoge muur met doorrij-openingen, die de zuidelijke oprijlaan flankeert en doorloopt tot de achtergevel van de portierswoning.
Het INTERIEUR van het koetshuis is geheel aangepast aan de kantoorbestemming.
Waardering
Het koetshuis van de Villa Kruisdonk is van cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling.
Uit architectuurhistorisch oogpunt is het pand van belang vanwege de bouwstijl, de hoogwaardige esthetiek, het materiaalgebruik en de ornamentiek.
