Inleiding
Met elementen van functionalisme in 1928, naar een ontwerp van architect A.J.N. Boosten, in opdracht van de Coöperatieve Bouwvereniging "Ons Belang" gebouwde WINKELWONING. De winkelwoning bevindt zich in de gesloten wand van de Wijcker Brugstraat.
Omschrijving
De winkelwoning (een winkel met twee bovenwoningen) heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, telt vier bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met muldenpannen. De voorgevel is bekleed met platen kunststeen.Rechthoekige houten deuren en vensters. Houten winkelvensters en glas-in-lood bovenlichten.
In de eerste bouwlaag de authentieke winkelpui met breed glas-in-lood bovenlicht. Over middendeel frontgevel vanaf de tweede bouwlaag tot aan de dakrand een doorlopende erker met plat dak. Erker geflankeerd door twee kunststeen pilasters.
Waardering
Het winkelwoonhuis bezit architectuurhistorische waarden als specimen van het oeuvre van de architect A.J.N. Boosten, vanwege de esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp en het toegepaste bouwmateriaal. Het pand is als onderdeel van de Wijcker Percee een belangrijk onderdeel van het beschermde stadsgezicht, is vanwege deze situering ten zeerste verbonden met de ontwikkeling/uitbreiding van de stad en is vanbijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van de stad. Het pand is van belang vanwege de hoge mate van gaafheid en is van importantie in relatie tot de structurele en visuele gaafheid van de stedelijke omgeving. Bovendien is in regionaal perspectief gezien sprake van een hoge mate van architectuurhistorische zeldzaamheid.

The shop dwelling (a shop with two upper dwellings) has a rectangular plan, comprises four storeys and is covered with a gabled roof with pantiles. The front facade is clad with artificial stone slabs. Rectangular wooden doors and windows. Wooden shop windows and leaded glass fanlights.
On the first storey the authentic shop front with wide leaded glass fanlight. Over the central section of the front facade from the second storey to the roof edge a continuous bay with flat roof. Bay flanked by two artificial stone pilasters.

The shop dwelling possesses architectural-historical values as a specimen of the work of architect A.J.N. Boosten, on account of the aesthetic qualities of the design and the building material used. The building is as part of the Wijcker Percement an important component of the protected urban landscape, is by virtue of this location most closely connected with the development/expansion of the city and is of particular significance for the appearance of the city.
