GRAFMONUMENT van de familie De Stuers, 1861, in de vorm van een obelisk. Prominent gesitueerd op een van de centrale pleinen in de aanleg van de begraafplaats van de Tongerseweg.
Omschrijving
Familiegraf De Stuers, 1861, bestaande uit een hardstenen GEDENKNAALD boven een grafkelder. De obelisk heeft een drievoudig getrapte voet. Console met laurierkransen. Bekroning in de vorm van een smeedijzeren kruis. Het grafmonument wordt omgeven door vier hekkolommen in de vorm van een kort kanon. Aan de zuidzijde een gedenkschrift voor de eerstbegravene: "Hier rusten / Hubert Jan Josef Lambert / RIDDER DE STUERS / Generaal-majoor Kommandant van het / Nederlandsch Oost Indisch Leger / Geb. Roermond 16 nov. 1788 / Overl. te Maastricht 13 april 1861 en zijne echtgenoote vrouwe / Hortense Josefine Constance / BEIJENS / Geb. te Brussel 20 nov. 1814 / Overl. te Parijs 28 mei 1869".
Aan de oostzijde een gedenkschrift voor Victor de Stuers, de grondlegger van de monumentenzorg in Nederland, en echtgenote: "Jonkvrouwe Aurelia Carolina / Gravin van Limburg Stirum / echtgenoote van jhr. mr.
