Omschrijving villa Wagner:
De VILLA WAGNER, deel uitmakend van het complex WAGNERHOF, is een vrijstaand woonhuis van twee bouwlagen op een praktisch vierkante plattegrond met uitbouwen van één bouwlaag met daarop een balkon of erker ter hoogte van de verdieping. De in oorsprong "villa Nuova" genoemde villa is uitgevoerd in eclectische trant en dateert uit circa 1870.
Aan de zuidzijde bevindt zich een uitbouw van één bouwlaag met daarop een balkon met houten balustrade. Op de begane grond is voor de uitbouw bovendien een veranda gevormd door middel van een afdak ondersteund door houten gedecoreerde kolommen. Aan de zuidoosthoek van de villa bevindt zich een torenvormige uitbouw van drie bouwlagen.
De ingang tot de villa is gesitueerd aan de oostzijde onder een luifel met kroonlijst gedragen door twee gedecoreerde kolommen.
De gevel is crème gepleisterd en gedecoreerd met een cordonband en een kroonlijst met voluutvormige consoles en eierlijst. Ter hoogte van de onderzijde van de vensters op de begane grond zijn horizontale groeven in het pleisterwerk aangebracht. Op de begane grond bevinden zich hoge rechthoekige vensters waarvan de bovenste hoeken zijn afgerond, op de eerste verdieping toogvensters met ornamenten centraal op de segmentbogen en in de oostelijke gevel ook een rondlicht met smeedijzeren rozet. Op de zuidoostelijke (afgeschuinde) hoek is voor het venster een smeedijzeren frans balkon aangebracht met geometrische Art Nouveau decoratie. De zeszijdige torenvormige aanbouw heeft op de eerste verdieping twee gekoppelde toogvensters met houten middenzuiltje, op de tweede verdieping kleine gekoppelde toogvensters. De toren wordt afgesloten met een strakke gepleisterde kroonlijst en kantelen op de zes hoeken, waartussen toogvormige tussendelen.
Waardering:
De villa Wagner is van algemeen belang wegens architectuurhistorische en stedenbouwkundige waarde als onderdeel van de (eclectische) villabouw rond de grote en kleine vijver en vertegenwoordigt daarnaast een cultuurhistorische waarde als startpunt voor de ontwikkeling van de Wagnerhof, in de tuin van deze villa.

The VILLA WAGNER, forming part of the complex WAGNERHOF, is a detached residential house of two storeys on a practically square ground plan with single-storey outbuildings with on top a balcony or bay at the level of the first floor. The villa, originally called "villa Nuova", is executed in an eclectic style and dates from circa 1870.
On the south side there is a single-storey outbuilding with on top a balcony with wooden balustrade. On the ground floor a veranda has been formed in front of the outbuilding by means of a canopy supported by wooden decorated columns. On the southeast corner of the villa is a tower-shaped extension of three storeys.
The entrance to the villa is situated on the east side beneath an awning with cornice carried by two decorated columns.
The facade is rendered in cream and decorated with a course band and a cornice with volute-shaped consoles and egg-and-dart moulding. At the level of the underside of the windows on the ground floor horizontal grooves have been made in the render. On the ground floor there are tall rectangular windows with rounded top corners; on the first floor are arched windows with ornaments centred on the segmental arches and in the eastern facade also a circular light with wrought-iron rosette. On the southeast (angled) corner a wrought-iron French balcony has been provided in front of the window with geometric Art Nouveau decoration. The six-sided tower-shaped extension has on the first floor two coupled arched windows with wooden central shaft, on the second floor small coupled arched windows. The tower is closed with a taut rendered cornice and crenellations on the six corners, between which arched sections.
Valuation:
The villa Wagner is of general importance on account of architectural-historical and urban planning value as part of the eclectic villa development around the large and small pond and furthermore represents cultural-historical value as the starting point for the development of the Wagnerhof, in the garden of this villa.
