Inleiding
KORTGEVELBOERDERIJ, met woonhuis en schuur onder één dak, volgens de jaartalankers daterend uit 1739. Gelegen in het Langstraatdorp Vrijhoeve-Capelle. Het is van het brede lage type met wolfdak, één van de twee boerderijtypes karakteristiek in de gemeente.
Beschrijving
Het eenlaags onderkelderde woonhuis heeft een geblokt gepleisterde voorgevel en zijgevels in handvorm baksteen. Het heeft een rieten wolfdak waarop twee schoorstenen. In de voorgevel ligt de ingang met semiklampdeur met klopper en ongedeeld bovenlicht rechts van het midden. Links twee, rechts één zesruitsschuifvenster met luiken. Dezelfde vensters zonder luiken op zolder. In de rechterzijgevel liggen twee vierentwintigruitsvensters, de achteringang met gedeeld bovenlicht en een drieruitsschuifvenster. Bouwsporen wijzen op wijzigingen. De linkerzijgevel bevat enige kleine vensters. Voor het huis een stoepje van IJsselsteen met een hardstenen deurplaat voor de ingang. Staafankers in alle muren, jaartalankers, 1739, in de voorgevel. Inwendig bewaart het huis grotendeels de originele indeling en delen van de inrichting. In de muur tussen de linkervoorkamer en de vroegere woonkamer achter liggen de ruimten van de voormalige bedsteden. In de woonkamer is de kap van de grote schouw bewaard gebleven met ernaast de trap naar de opkamer. De geut sluit het woonhuis in de breedte af. Hierin liggen de trap naar de kelder, een grote schoorsteen en een handpomp. Achter de brandmuur ligt de schuur opgetrokken uit machinale steen en vernieuwde stalraampjes en deuren. In de achtermuur een staldeur en hoge hoekinrijdeuren. Inwendig twee eiken eenzijdig overstekende dekbalkgebinten met spant met balk. Het huis is omgeven door een tuin met diverse grote bomen, waaronder Italiaanse populier en wilg. Voor het huis twee snoeilinden en een haag.

De boerderij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een voor de Langstraat karakteristiek type boerderij. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de uit- en inwendig gaaf behouden hoofdstructuur en de bewaardgebleven onderdelen van het interieur. The single-storey basement-level dwelling house has a rendered blocked front facade and side walls in handmade brick. It has a thatched half-hipped roof on which sit two chimneys. In the front facade lies the entrance with semi-clamp door with knocker and undivided fanlight to the right of centre. On the left two, on the right one six-pane sash window with shutters. The same windows without shutters on the upper storey. In the right side wall lie two twenty-four-pane windows, the rear entrance with divided fanlight and a three-pane sash window. Building traces indicate alterations. The left side wall contains some small windows. In front of the house a step of IJssel brick with a stone threshold plate for the entrance. Bar anchors in all walls, date anchors, 1739, in the front facade. Internally the house largely retains the original layout and parts of the fittings. In the wall between the left front room and the former living room behind lie the spaces of the former bed cupboards. In the living room the hood of the large fireplace is retained with the staircase to the upper storey room beside it. The gutter closes off the dwelling house in the width. It contains the staircase to the basement, a large chimney and a hand pump. Behind the fire wall lies the barn built of machine-made brick and renewed stable windows and doors. In the rear wall a stable door and high corner entrance doors. Internally two oak one-sided projecting tie-beam trusses with rafter and tie-beam. The house is surrounded by a garden with various large trees, including Italian poplar and willow. In front of the house two pollard linden trees and a hedge.

The farmhouse has cultural-historical value as an example of a type of farmhouse characteristic for the Langstraat.
