Inleiding
Vrij gelegen, niet meer geheel complete bakstenen windkorenmolen uit (naar alle waarschijnlijkheid) 1845 en een - beschermenswaardig - bakstenen molenaarshuis uit 1897.
Omschrijving
Conisch toelopende molenromp, opgetrokken in baksteen, met diverse over de romp verspreid aangebrachte rondboogvensters; de romp is met een kap gedekt. Stelling en wieken ontbreken. Inwendig zijn de bovenas, koningsspil, het volledige luiwerk, de trappen, alle zolders en balklagen in tact.
Waardering
De molen heeft oudheidkundige waarde (naar alle waarschijnlijkheid 1845) en beschikt nog over een belangrijk deel van de inwendige oorspronkelijke technische voorzieningen die voor de uitoefening van de functie - het malen van graan - onontbeerlijk zijn; de algemene betekenis voor de geschiedenis van het historisch bedrijf alsmede voor die van de agrarische geschiedenis is als gevolg evident. De vrije ligging biedt de molen vanouds een goede windvang hetgeen de historische ensemblewaarde in belangrijke mate kenmerk t en ondersteunt. In het vlakke polderlandschap biedt de molen een opmerkelijk historisch herkenningspunt en karakteristieke belevingswaarden aan de streek terwijl dit beeld in nationaal opzicht symbolische betekenis en waarde vertegenwoordigt. Het nabij gelegen molenaarshuis (1897) bezit weliswaar zelfstandige monumentwaarde maar verleent aan de molen een karakteristiek complement waardoor een algemeen historisch sociaal-cultureel patroon van de nauwsluitende combinatie wonen/werken in één oogopslag tot uitdrukking wordt gebracht. Voor de geschiedenis van de molenbouw is de molen in zekere zin van bijzondere betekenis want het is het laatste voorbeeld van een ronde stenen windkorenmolen in het Westbrabantse kleipoldergebied. De nabijgelegen vroegere zeedijk voegt daar in historisch opzicht nog een duidelijke waarneembare waarde aan toe; in dit kader beschikt de molen over een nationaal monumentenbelang.

Description
Conically tapering mill body, erected in brick, with various round-arch windows distributed across the body; the body is covered with a roof. Staging and sails are missing. Internally the upper shaft, main spindle, the complete lubrication system, the stairs, all galleries and beam layers are intact.
Valuation
The mill has archaeological value (in all likelihood 1845) and still possesses an important part of the original internal technical provisions essential for the exercise of the function - the grinding of grain; the general significance for the history of the historical trade as well as for that of agricultural history is as a result evident. The free situation offers the mill traditionally a good wind exposure which the historical ensemble value in an important measure characterises and supports. In the flat polder landscape the mill offers a remarkable historical landmark and characteristic experience values to the region while this image in national terms represents symbolic meaning and value. The nearby miller's house (1897), while possessing its own monumental value, lends to the mill a characteristic complement whereby a general historical social-cultural pattern of the close combination living/working is expressed at a glance. For the history of mill construction the mill is in a certain sense of particular significance as it is the last example of a round stone windmill-on-post in the West Brabant clay polder area. The nearby former sea-dike adds to this a clearly perceptible value in historical terms; in this context the mill possesses a national monumental importance.
