Inleiding
Het HEK rond de Oranjelinde uit 1937 is onderdeel van het complex waartoe voorts behoren de Rijks Hogere Burgerschool en de conciërgewoning uit 1919.
De boom is 7 januari 1937 op het vm. schoolplein voor de RHBS geplant ter gelegenheid van het huwelijk van Prinses Juliana en Bernhard van Lippe-Biesterfeld.
Omschrijving
Een octogonaal hekwerk omringt een lindeboom. Het hek bestaat uit acht aan elkaar verbonden smeedijzeren panelen. Elk hekdeel heeft een lineair patroon waarin een getrapt motief is verwerkt en waarin "panelen" zijn uitgespaard met opschriften. De opschriften komen twee maal voor: ruggelings t.o.v. elkaar en van elkaar gescheiden door een hekdeel met enkel het lineaire patroon. In het boven de andere uitstekende hekdeel staan de letters JB (Juliana Bernhard); links ervan ORANJE LIPPE; rechts ervan 7 JANUARI 1937.
Waardering
Het hekwerk rond de Oranjeboom bij de Rijks Hogere Burgerschool uit 1937 is van belang:

The FENCE around the Orange Linden from 1937 is part of the complex which also includes the Rijks Hogere Burgerschool and the caretaker's dwelling from 1919.
The tree was planted on 7 January 1937 on the former school grounds in front of the RHBS on the occasion of the marriage of Princess Juliana and Bernhard van Lippe-Biesterfeld.
Description
An octagonal fence surrounds a lime tree. The fence consists of eight wrought-iron panels connected to each other. Each fence section has a linear pattern in which a stepped motif is worked and in which "panels" are cut out with inscriptions. The inscriptions occur twice: facing backwards in relation to each other and separated from each other by a fence section with only the linear pattern. In the fence section standing above the others are the letters JB (Juliana Bernhard); to the left of it ORANJE LIPPE; to the right of it 7 JANUARI 1937.
Valuation
The fence around the Orange Tree at the Rijks Hogere Burgerschool from 1937 is of significance:
