Inleiding
In een eclectische bouwstijl in 1905 in opdracht van direkteur Thomas van de Nederlandsche Zinkwit Maatschappij te Eijsden gebouwde VILLA. De villa is vrijstaand gesitueerd.
De naastgelegen villa Prins Hendrikstraat 27 werd eveneens in 1905 gebouwd in opdracht van een direkteur van de Nederlandsche Zinkwit Maatschappij.
De bijbouw van een garage is uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
De villa heeft een L-vormige plattegrond, telt twee deels drie bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een gebroken tentdak met mastiek leien. Het torengedeelte heeft een tentdak met leien in Maasdekking. Dakkapellen met smeedijzeren nokversieringen. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen en natuursteen.
Plint in natuursteen.
Linkerdeel frontgevel naar voren springend en uitlopend in een toren. Torendak bekroond met smeedijzeren windvaan. Houten rechthoekige vensters en deuren. Geveldecoratie in de vorm van horizontale gele baksteen banden.
Entreepartij met trap in hardsteen. Authentieke deur met smeedijzeren roosters en met een glas-in-lood bovenlicht. Luifel boven entreepartij rustend op gietijzeren kolommen, op deze luifel een balkon met smeedijzeren balustrade.
Hardstenen dorpelstenen, lateien en diamantkoppen naast vensters en deur. Boven de vensters en balkondeur decoratieve boogvormige vulstukken in gele baksteen met decoratief stucwerk.
Karakteristieke vensterindeling. In de rechterzijgevel blinde vensters in de tweede bouwlaag. In de linkerzijgevel in de eerste bouwlaag een kleine erker met plat dak. In de achtergevel in eerste bouwlaag een erker met plat dak met hierop een balkon met balustrade. Decoratieve dakrand.
Van het INTERIEUR is onder meer van belang: gang met authentieke mozaïekvloer met florale motieven; in enkele kamers haarden met een marmeren omlijsting. De indeling van het interieur is grotendeels intact.
Waardering
De villa is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling met name in relatie met de naastgelegen villa Prins Hendrikstraat 27. De villa bezit architectuurhistorische waarde wegens het bijzondere belang voor de streekgebeonden architectuur, de esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp en de ornamentiek. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de villa aan zijn situering aan de Prins Hendrikstraat, een straat met veelal villabebebouwing uit de periode 1900-1940, en is daarmee van betekenis voor het aanzien van de plaats Eijsden. De villa is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de typologische zeldzaamheid.

Description
The villa has an L-shaped floor plan, comprises two to three storeys and is topped with a broken tent roof with mastic slate. The tower section has a tent roof with slate in Maas bonding. Roof dormers with wrought-iron ridge ornaments. The building materials used are brick and natural stone.

Left section of front facade projecting forward and terminating in a tower. Tower roof crowned with wrought-iron weathervane. Wooden rectangular windows and doors. Facade decoration in the form of horizontal yellow brick bands.
Entrance section with hardstone staircase. Authentic door with wrought-iron grilles and with a leaded-glass fanlight. Canopy above entrance section resting on cast-iron columns, on this canopy a balcony with wrought-iron balustrade.
Hardstone threshold stones, lintels and diamond-shaped stones beside windows and door. Above the windows and balcony door decorative arched infill pieces in yellow brick with decorative stucco.
Characteristic window arrangement. In the right side facade blind windows on the second storey. In the left side facade on the first storey a small bay window with flat roof. In the rear facade on the first storey a bay window with flat roof with a balcony and balustrade above it. Decorative roof edge.
Of the INTERIOR the following are of note: corridor with authentic mosaic floor with floral motifs; in several rooms fireplaces with marble surround. The interior layout is largely intact.
