Inleiding
Met elementen van het Eclecticisme in 1905 in opdracht van direkteur J. Meesters van de Nederlandsche Zinkwit Maatschappij naar een ontwerp van architect Jolissen gebouwde VILLA.
De villa is vrijstaand gesitueerd. De naastgelegen villa Prins Hendrikstraat nummer 29 werd eveneens in 1905 gebouwd in opdracht van een direkteur van de Nederlandsche Zinkwit Maatschappij.
Omschrijving
De villa heeft een in de lengterichting geplaatste L-vormige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met leien in Maasdekking. Dakkapellen met smeedijzeren nokversieringen.
Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen en hardsteen. Rechthoekige houten vensters en deur met bovenlicht.
Rustica plint. Rechterdeel frontgevel naar voren springend en uitlopend in een topgevel. In deze topgevel twee rondboogvormige venstertjes. Op de nok van dit geveldeel een smeedijzeren windvaan. Decoratie in de vorm van horizontale gele baksteen banden met uitzondering van de achtergevel. Deur met smeedijzeren roosters. Boven de ingangspartij : houten luifel, steunend op houten zuil. Op deze luifel een houten balkon met balkonhek van recentere datum. Hardstenen dorpelstenen, lateien en diamantkoppen naast de vensters en balkondeur. Vensters en balkondeur met rondboogvormige vulstukken met decoratief stucwerk en met bogen van gele baksteen. Karakteristieke vensterindeling. Breed houten dakoverstek.
Indeling interieur redelijk intact.
Aan de achtergevel een deels houten veranda met plat dak. Eveneens aan de achtergevel in de eerste bouwlaag een kleine uitbouw met plat dak.
Waardering
De villa is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling met name in relatie met de naastgelegen villa Prins Hendrikstraat nummer 29. De villa bezit architectuurhistorische waarden wegens het bijzondere belang voor de streekgebonden architectuur en de esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de villa aan zijn situering aan de Prins Hendrikstraat, een straat met veelal villabebouwing uit de periode 1900-1940, en is daarmee van betekenis voor het aanzien van de plaats Eijsden. De villa is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de typologische zeldzaamheid.

On the ridge of this gable section a wrought-iron weathervane. Decoration in the form of horizontal yellow brick bands with the exception of the rear facade. Door with wrought-iron grilles. Above the entrance section: wooden canopy, resting on wooden column. On this canopy a wooden balcony with balcony railing of recent date. Hardstone threshold stones, lintels and diamond-shaped stones beside the windows and balcony door. Windows and balcony door with round-arched infill pieces with decorative stucco and with arches of yellow brick. Characteristic window arrangement. Broad wooden roof overhang.
Interior layout reasonably intact.
On the rear facade a partly wooden veranda with flat roof. Also on the rear facade on the first storey a small extension with flat roof.
