Object description

Mansion with light pink stucco, strongly symmetrical cornice-topped facade on narrow moulded plinth with frieze. The building comprises four storeys: ground floor, first and second floor and attic storey. The strongly horizontally and vertically articulated facade has on the ground floor on the left side the entrance section with natural stone step and original entrance door. On the right a segmental window with six-pane sash window. Underdorpel with moulding and two rows of small diamond heads. On the left and right a squat pilaster with diamond heads on the shaft. Facade surface constructed of stucco-imitated natural stone blocks in the manner of a rusticated zone. Semi-main entablature as cordon moulding. The first floor contains a tall window with sash window and fanlight between two half-columns with fantasy capital, a half-round balcony with ogee-shaped ornamental railing. The underside of the balcony consists of a wide strongly moulded conical corbel with lobes. On the left and right a narrow window with sash window and fanlight. Adjacent to this another half-pilaster with fantasy capital. Wide pilasters at the corners. With the exception of the half-columns, the facade sections, including the pilasters, are constructed of stucco-imitated natural stone blocks. Main entablature as cordon moulding. Land name 'Italië' on frieze. The second floor contains three windows with sash or casement windows and fanlights and cornice as upper dorpel. Between these cornices a pair of volute ornaments as in the Ionic corner capital. Pilasters at the corners. The main entablature consists of a broken architrave with egg moulding, a frieze with very short pilasters and a cornice on worked cramps. Above the cornice still the three windows with casement window of the attic storey. Further four cassettes with continuous cornice on which two central ornamental vases with lobed belly and two ornamental obelisks with crowning star shape at the corners.
