Inleiding WOONHUIS, gesitueerd in de nagenoeg gesloten westelijke gevelwand van de Nieuwe Boteringestraat, gebouwd omstreeks 1885 in een rijk versierde, eclectische bouwstijl. Het balkon is in 1900 aangebracht. Het gebouw is thans in gebruik als kantoor met woonhuis en is in 1982 gerestaureerd. De achtergevel is vernieuwd en van ondergeschikt belang. Omschrijving Het gebouw is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt twee bouwlagen onder een plat dak. De gevel wordt aan de bovenzijde afgesloten door een geprofileerde bakgoot waarboven een houten balustrade is geplaatst. De balustrade wordt bekroond door een tympaan-achtige vorm, die in het midden doorbroken wordt door een gesneden houten pinakel. De voorgevel is drie traveeën breed en geheel gestuct met diep gesneden schijnvoegen en voorzien van imitatie bosseringen. De vensters en deur op de begane grond zijn segmentboogvormig gesloten en zijn voorzien van imitatie negblokken en sluitstenen. In het midden op de verdieping is een balkon met een sierlijke houten balustrade geplaatst op gebeeldhouwde consoles. Op het balkon komen twee gepaarde deuren uit, overspannen met twee rondbogen. Aan weerszijden bevinden zich twee blinde vensters onder rondbogen. De rondbogen hebben geprofileerd lijstwerk met decoratieve sluitstenen in stuc. De boogtrommels zijn bezet met bruine en witte tegels in een dambordpatroon. De blinde vensters kregen eveneens tegels. Op de borstweringen zijn stuc facetten aangebracht. Waardering Woonhuis, met een rijk versierde stuc lijstgevel in een eclectische bouwstijl, typisch voor de architectuur uit het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw, van algemeen belang vanwege zijn cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de architectonische kwaliteit van het exterieur alsmede vanwege zijn gaafheid.

Introduction RESIDENTIAL HOUSE, situated in the almost closed western facade wall of the Nieuwe Boteringestraat, built circa 1885 in a richly decorated, eclectic architectural style. The balcony was installed in 1900. The building is currently in use as office with residential house and was restored in 1982. The rear facade has been renewed and is of secondary importance. Description The building is erected on a rectangular floor plan and has two storeys under a flat roof. The facade is closed at the top by a profiled gutter above which a wooden balustrade is placed. The balustrade is crowned by a tympanum-like form, which is broken in the middle by a carved wooden finial. The front facade is three bays wide and entirely rendered with deeply cut false joints and provided with imitation rustication. The windows and door on the ground floor are segmental-arch-shaped and are provided with imitation ashlar blocks and voussoirs. In the middle on the first floor a balcony with a decorative wooden balustrade is placed on sculptured consoles. Two paired doors open onto the balcony, spanned with two round arches. On either side are two blind windows under round arches. The round arches have profiled moulding with decorative voussoirs in stucco. The arch drums are set with brown and white tiles in a checkerboard pattern. The blind windows also received tiles. On the parapets stucco facets are applied. Evaluation Residential house, with a richly decorated stucco cornice-topped facade in an eclectic architectural style, typical of the architecture from the last quarter of the nineteenth century, of general importance because of its cultural-historical and architectural-historical value because of the architectural quality of the exterior as well as because of its integrity.
