Inleiding WONINGCOMPLEX, bestaande uit drie beneden- en zes bovenwoningen, markant gesitueerd op de hoek van de Nieuwe Ebbingestraat, de Rodeweg en de Bedumerweg, gebouwd in 1931 in opdracht van O.J. Bos naar ontwerp van de Groninger architect J. Prummel in een verstrakte versie van de Amsterdamse School. De woningen zijn thans nog als zodanig in gebruik. Het ronde hoekgedeelte aan de Bedumerweg heeft een bakstenen muurtje met ijzeren buizen. Omschrijving Het markante gebouw is opgetrokken op een driehoekige plattegrond en telt drie bouwlagen onder een plat dak. De iets hoger opgetrokken hoektraveeën zijn afgedekt met zink; de lange middenwand is afgedekt met een rij daktegels. De onderste helft van de begane grondverdieping is opgetrokken uit bruinroze baksteen en afgesloten met een brede, iets vooruitspringende rollaag; hierboven zijn de gevels opgetrokken uit gele baksteen. De rechtgesloten vensters zijn ritmisch over het gevelvlak verdeeld en hebben gekleurd glas-in-lood in de bovenlichten. De voorgevel is geleed door trapeziumvormige erkers over twee bouwlagen op de eerste en tweede verdieping. Description
Introduction HOUSING COMPLEX, consisting of three ground-floor and six upper-floor dwellings, prominently situated at the corner of Nieuwe Ebbingestraat, Rodeweg and Bedumerweg, built in 1931 commissioned by O.J.
