Omschrijving
PORTIERSWONING YPENBURGOp onregelmatige grondslag met twee bouwlagen in cubische vormen onder plat, licht overstekend luifeldak gebouwd woonhuis, in oorsprong bestemd als PORTIERSWONING, ontworpen in nieuw-zakelijke trant door M. Zwanenburg (1937). De bakstenen gevels, in oorsprong witgesausd op zwarte plint, zijn boven de vensters - in oorsprong met stalen, zilvergroene kozijnen en zwarte lekdorpels - voorzien van betonnen lateien. Bij de ZO-hoek zijn de van omlopende vensterpartijen en een ronde stalen hoekkolom voorziene gevels op de beganegrond teruggerooid ten behoeve van een overhuifd, betegeld terras; de uitkragende verdieping steunt hier op een stalen I-kolom op de ZO- hoek. De overluifelde ingang, met betegelde stoep en glazen windscherm aan de W-zijde, bevindt zich midden in de N-gevel, waarvan het rechtergedeelte is teruggerooid.
Links in de N-gevel is een cirkelvormig venster aangebracht, in oorsprong voorzien van glas-in-loodvulling, evenals de langgerekte vensterpartij rechtsboven en de (thans gewijzigde) grote vensterpartij linksboven in de W-gevel. In de NW-hoek bevindt zich nog een kleine kelder.
WAARDERING:
Voormalige portierswoning in nieuw-zakelijke trant, van belang als onderdeel van het luchthavencomplex Ypenburg.
N.B. De latere aanbouwen aan de W- en Z-zijde vallen buiten de bescherming.

Description
PORTER'S LODGE YPENBURG
Dwelling house of irregular ground plan with two storeys in cubic forms under a flat, slightly projecting canopy roof, built as a PORTER'S LODGE, designed in the Nieuwe Zakelijkheid style by M. Zwanenburg (1937). The brick facades, originally whitewashed on a black plinth, are provided above the windows - originally with steel, silver-green frames and black drip mouldings - with concrete lintels. At the SE corner the facades provided with continuous window sections and a round steel corner column have been demolished on the ground floor to provide an roofed, tiled terrace; the projecting upper storey is supported here by a steel I-beam at the SE corner. The roofed entrance, with tiled step and glazed windscreen on the W side, is located in the middle of the N facade, of which the right section has been demolished.
On the left in the N facade is a circular window, originally provided with leaded glass, as is the elongated window section on the upper right and the (now altered) large window section on the upper left in the W facade. In the NW corner there is still a small basement.
VALUATION:
Former porter's lodge in the Nieuwe Zakelijkheid style, of importance as part of the Ypenburg airfield complex.
N.B. Later extensions on the W and S sides fall outside the protection.
