Inleiding
Blok van twee WONINGEN waarvan de linker volgens type V en de rechter volgens type IV is gebouwd in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. Het gebouw met midden in de voorgevel de naam Hou en Trouw is in 1897 gebouwd naar ontwerp van W.C. Metzelaar.
Omschrijving
Evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen, functioneel gebouwd dubbel woonhuis met verdieping en aangebouwd toegangsportaal, opgetrokken uit baksteen en gedekt door een aan een zijde doorgetrokken zadeldak met pannen en windveren; schoorsteen in het voorste dakschild; eenvoudig geprofileerde goot, staafankers. De gevels zijn symmetrisch ingedeeld door licht getoogde vensters met luiken, hardstenen vensterbanken en oorspronkelijk 12-ruits schuiframen en paarsgewijs geplaatste 4-ruits steekramen. Linker pand met aanbouw onder zadeldak, rechter pand met aanbouw onder lessenaardak; opgeklampte deur met lichtgetoogd 2-ruits bovenlicht en 6-ruits schuifraam.

A double dwelling with storey situated parallel to the road, functionally built and with attached entrance portico, constructed of brick and covered by a gabled roof with tiles carried through on one side and wind vanes; chimney in the front roof slope; simply moulded gutter, rod anchors. The facades are symmetrically arranged with slightly arched windows with shutters, hardstone window sills and originally 12-paned sash windows and pairs of 4-paned hopper windows. Left building with extension under gabled roof, right building with extension under sloping roof; flush-fitted door with slightly arched 2-paned fanlight and 6-paned sash window.
