Inleiding
WONING van het door architect J.G. Robbers ontwikkelde type 2, gebouwd rond 1920 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. Het huis is visueel medebepalend voor de Meidoornlaan.
Omschrijving
Evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen een bouwlaag tellend woonhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond. Het geheel is uit baksteen opgetrokken in een sobere en typerende Interbellum Architectuur en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak; twee dakkapellen aan de voorzijde; pannen; goot met licht overstek. De asymmetrisch ingedeelde gevels wordenn bepaald door een trasraam, een gekoppeld raam, een deur metbovenlicht en twee gekoppelde ramen.

Woning van cultuurhistorisch, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang alsook van belang voor de geschiedenis van de Rijkswerkinrichting Veenhuizen; tevens van belang als functioneel onderdeel van het uitzonderlijk waardevolle complex Veenhuizen.

The asymmetrically arranged facades are characterized by a cill window, a coupled window, a door with fanlight and two coupled windows.
