LIJKENHUIS van het voormalige ziekenhuis. Gebouwd in 1893 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. Ontworpen door W.C. Metzelaar. Thans als opslagruimte in gebruik.
Omschrijving
In sobere en functionele stijl gebouwd lijkenhuis. Het in baksteen opgetrokken gebouw wordt gedekt door een zadeldak belegd met pannen; ventilatieschachten; eenvoudige goot op klossen. Getoogde deur in kopse gevel, zijgevels met houten ventilatie roosters.
Waardering
Lijkenhuis van belang als essentieel en functioneel onderdeel van het hospitaalcomplex. Gaaf.
