Inleiding
Natuurstenen grafmonument van de familie Van Oordt in eclectische stijl, bevattende de graven van G.H.L. van Oordt, zijn echtgenote en hun twee dochters.
Jaar waarin concessie is verleend: 1896.
Gabriel Henri Louis van Oordt vertrok in 1858 naar Nederlands- Indie waar hij als ingenieur werkzaam was. Huwde in 1870 in Batavia met Anna Elisabeth Schuurman. Twee dochters uit dit huwelijk werden bijgezet in het graf: Julie Charlotte van Oordt en Wilhelmina Georgetta Frederika Elisabeth van Oordt.
Omschrijving
Rechthoekig ongeprofileerde liggende en getrapte keldervloer, waarop het grafmonument is geplaatst in de vorm van een rijk geornamenteerde sarcofaag. Achter de aldus ontstane tombe is een staande steen opgericht. De uitgebogen plint van de koffervormige sarcofaag is versierd met gebeeldhouwde klimopbladeren en verlopende rechte banden. De sarcofaag heeft aan de voorzijde ronde geprofileerde handgrepen; het driehoekige veld bovenaan is gedecoreerd met het reliëf van een olielamp. Op de deksel liggen gekruiste palmtakken, bijeen gehouden door lint en krans.
De staande steen is drieledig samengesteld. De rechthoekige en onder uitbuigende sokkel is bovenaan versierd met een omwonden guirlande. De sokkel draagt het middenstuk, dat bestaat uit een vlakke rechthoekige plaat met inscriptie. Deze plaat wordt geflankeerd door ronde zuilen met basementen en kapitelen waarop het hoofdgestel en fronton als bekroning rusten. Op het fronton onderscheidt men het familiewapen met de twaalfpuntige ster van Van Oordt; het wordt omgeven door bladranken waaruit papaverbollen en lelies spruiten, alsmede palmbladeren en het kruis.
Voor het graf - dat linksonder aan de zijkant van de staande steen is gesigneerd Laurent Philip & Co, Den Haag - staan drie vierkante naar boven taps toelopende palen die worden bekroond door een palmetmotief.
Op de schacht dragen ze aan de voorzijde het reliëf van een uitgedoofde fakkel. Ooit waren deze palen met elkaar verbonden door middel van zware bronzen kettingen.
Grafische verzorging: deels verdiepte en vergulde, deels verheven Latijnse kapitaal.
Materiaal: getrapte keldervloer, hardsteen; monument en staande steen, wit marmer.
Afmetingen: lengte 290 x breedte 160 x hoogte 100 cm (sarcofaag); hoogte 280 cm (staande steen).

Description
Rectangular unprofilated horizontal and stepped basement floor, upon which the grave monument is placed in the form of a richly ornamented sarcophagus. Behind the resulting tomb a standing stone has been erected. The curved plinth of the coffin-shaped sarcophagus is decorated with sculpted ivy leaves and tapering straight bands. The sarcophagus has rounded profiled handles on the front; the triangular field at the top is decorated with the relief of an oil lamp. On the lid lie crossed palm branches, held together by ribbon and wreath.
The standing stone is composed of three parts. The rectangular socle with protruding base is decorated at the top with a twisted garland. The socle bears the central section, which consists of a flat rectangular plate with inscription. This plate is flanked by round columns with bases and capitals upon which the entablature and pediment rest as crowning. On the pediment one distinguishes the family coat of arms with the twelve-pointed star of Van Oordt; it is surrounded by leaf scrolls from which poppy seed-heads and lilies sprout, as well as palm leaves and the cross.
In front of the grave - which is signed lower left at the side of the standing stone by Laurent Philip & Co, Den Haag - stand three square posts that taper upwards and are crowned by a palmette motif.
On the shaft they bear on the front the relief of an extinguished torch. Once these posts were connected to one another by means of heavy bronze chains.
Graphic treatment: partly recessed and gilded, partly raised Latin capitals.
Material: stepped basement floor, sandstone; monument and standing stone, white marble.
