Omschrijving
Middeleeuws pand met een 19e eeuwse gevel, tegenwoordig bestaande uit drie bouwlagen, een kap loodrecht op de straat, een kelder en een werfkelder.
Hoewel dit pand in vele opzichten overeenkomsten vertoont met de grote "Oudegracht huizen", met verdiepingshoogten van 4,80 en 3,80 meter en een oppervlakte van circa 7 x 20 meter, was het in zijn 17e eeuwse toestand daarvoor in zekere zin een verdieping te laag. Mogelijk houdt dit verband met een verbouwing waarbij een verdieping is afgebroken. Het opvallende is dat ook de naam "Groot Colenberch", met het ernaast gelegen "Kleyn Colenberch" (Oudegracht 146), een verwijzing is naar de opzet van de grote huizen.
In de grote kelder met tongewelf is een dichtgemetselde doorgang naar Oudegracht 146 te nog zien.
Het karakter van het huis wordt gedomineerd door de gepleisterde vroeg 19e eeuwse gevel met krachtige profilering, hoewel de onderpui in deze eeuw is vervangen. Rond 1870 is het pand met een verdieping verhoogd, waarvan de ornamentiek iets minder sprekend is. Deze gevel is een vervanger voor de 17e eeuwse trapgevel. Medieval property with a 19th century facade, currently consisting of three storeys, a roof truss perpendicular to the street, a cellar and a yard cellar.
Although this property shows resemblances in many respects to the large "Oudegracht houses", with storey heights of 4.80 and 3.80 metres and an area of approximately 7 x 20 metres, in its 17th century state it was in some sense one storey too low for this.
