The register's description

Built on a remaining plot in 1932-'34 to the design of S. van Ravesteijn for his own family, an almost entirely detached residential house built according to the principles of the New Building movement.

The two-storey flat-roofed residential house is constructed in yellow brick (with cavity walls) on a ground plan derived from a triangle whereby the E side has an inset and outset facade and the N side adjoins the W facade at an angle of 60 degrees.

The S facade situated parallel to the street has on the left a cubic section with below a large rectangular window and above a circular window; on the right the curved wing adjoins with a largely glazed facade and on the steeply recessed storey with curved glass facade a lightly projecting concrete terrace, provided with steel tube railings. The entrance is located in the middle of the W facade, which with the exception of the bathroom window on the upper storey is blank and to which on the left, far recessed, a low, flat-roofed garage adjoins. The N facade has near the curved wing a segmental arch window and furthermore three rectangular windows below and above a small window. All windows are set in narrow steel frames, which like the external doors and roof edges are white in colour.

Residential house, due to its overall architectural and technical design and because of its significance as the architect's first residential house design within his oeuvre - with characteristic use of round, undulating forms alongside taut, straight lines - is of general importance as a representative example of the Dutch contribution to the New Building movement because of its significance for the development of modern architecture.
