Omschrijving
IJzeren HEK met daarin opgenomen WACHTHUISJE. Het hek op bakstenen voet langs de gehele lengte van het complex aan de Prins Hendriklaan, met ter hoogte van de ingang een wachthuis en hekpaal met daartussen in een toegangshek. Het eenlaags wachthuisje is geheel opgetrokken in baksteen op een hardstenen plint, met hardstenen smalle vensteropeningen aan de straatzijde, het geheel onder een mansardekapje met rode kruispan. De bakstenen hekpaal op hardstenen voet, gedekt met snijdende zadeldakjes met rode pannen. Tussen de hekpaal en het wachthuis het toegangshek voorzien van een halfronde boog. Het hek heeft een speciale vormgeving met spijlen met klaverbladvormige punten.

HEKWERK met WACHTHUISJE van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van de Kromhoutkazerne als militair complex en daarmee als onderdeel van de Nieuw Hollandse Waterlinie. Description
IRON FENCE with incorporated GUARD HOUSE. The fence on brick base along the entire length of the complex on the Prins Hendriklaan, with at the level of the entrance a guard house and fence post with between them an access gate. The single-storey guard house is entirely constructed in brick on a hardstone plinth, with hardstone narrow window openings on the street side, the whole under a mansard roof with red pantile. The brick fence post on hardstone base, covered with intersecting saddle rooflets with red tiles. Between the fence post and the guard house the access gate provided with a semicircular arch. The fence has a special design with spikes with cloverleaf-shaped points.
