Inleiding
WOONHUIS vermoedelijk rond 1875 gebouwd voor de rijksveldwachter in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. In 1905 verbouwd waarschijnlijk volgens woningtype II. Ontwerp W.C. Metzelaar. De aanbouw valt buiten de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Evenwijdig aan de Kolonievaart gelegen, sober en functioneel gebouwd woonhuis opgetrokken in baksteen en gedekt door een met pannen belegd zadeldak met windveren; topschoorstenen; houten dakkapel met frontonachtige opbouw. De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel wordt geleed door een deur met 2-ruits bovenlicht en lichtgetoogde 6- ruitsschuif ramen met luiken. De gevels zijn uitgevoerd in blokbepleistering. In de linker zijgevel een openslaand 6-ruits raam; staafankers. De rechter zijgevel met klein 4-ruits raam. Achtergevel met 6-ruits schuiframen.

Situated parallel to the Kolonievaart, a sober and functional dwelling built of brick and covered by a gabled roof with tiles and wind ridges; ridge chimneys; wooden dormer with pediment-like superstructure. The symmetrically arranged front facade is articulated by a door with 2-light fanlight and cove-moulded 6-light sash windows with shutters. The facades are rendered with block plaster. In the left side facade an outward-opening 6-light window; staple anchors. The right side facade with small 4-light window. Rear facade with 6-light sash windows.
