Inleiding
WONING gebouwd in 1901 voor de dokter in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. Ontwerp, woningtype VII, van W.C. Metzelaar. De naam Humaniteit staat symmetrisch in de gevel.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande, sober en functioneel met aandacht voor ambachtelijke details vormgegeven woning, opgetrokken uit baksteen met pleisterwerk en bakstenen banden, en gedekt door een zadeldak met pannen en windveren. De gevelindeling wordt bepaald door lichtgetoogde ramen met persiennes met een getrapte hanekam. Bij de verdiepingsramen en de twee kleinere zolderramen zijn onder de natuurstenen vensterbanken gemetselde blokken aangebracht. Westelijke gevel met paneeldeur en 2-ruits bovenlicht; aan weerskanten van de deur kelderluiken; uitbouw met plat.

Freestanding, sober and functional with attention to crafted details designed dwelling, erected from brick with plasterwork and brick bands, and covered by a gabled roof with tiles and wind vanes. The facade layout is determined by light-arched windows with blinds with a stepped rooster comb. At the upper-storey windows and the two smaller attic windows ashlar blocks have been placed below the natural stone window sills. Western gable with panel door and 2-pane fanlight; on either side of the door cellar hatches; extension with flat roof.
