Inleiding
Haaks op de weg gelegen hoofdzakelijk tweede helft negentiende eeuwse, voormalige TUINMANSWONING, gebouwd met Chaletstijl-achtige motieven. Het zeer dicht op de weg staande gebouw behoorde bij het inmiddels afgebroken, naastgelegen landhuis Rozenburg.
Omschrijving.
Verdiepingloos woonhuis op rechthoekige grondslag, opgetrokken uit baksteen en aan voorzijde gedekt door een zadeldak belegd met pannen; aan achterzijde door een zadeldak met een lagere noklijn. Het voorste gedeelte heeft gepleisterde gevels met daarin ramen met luiken en boven het kalf een rondboog bovenlicht met vork-tracering. In de topgevel twee kwart-rond vensters binnen een Chaletstijl-achtige betimmering. Noordgevel met entree onder eenvoudig lessenaardak.

A GARDENER'S COTTAGE set perpendicular to the road, mainly from the second half of the nineteenth century, built with Chalet-style motifs. The building, standing very close to the road, belonged to the now demolished adjacent country house Rozenburg.

Single-storey dwelling house on a rectangular ground plan, constructed of brick and on the front covered by a gabled roof tiled with tiles; on the rear by a gabled roof with a lower ridge line. The front section has rendered facades with windows with shutters and above the calf a round-arched fanlight with fork tracery. In the gable two quarter-round windows within Chalet-style carpentry. North facade with entrance under a simple lean-to roof.
Motivation
Former gardener's cottage of architectural-historical importance because of its former function; the memory of the demolished country house Rozenburg and the characteristic design (front facade) and of urban-planning importance because of its location within the protected townscape 'Landgoederengordel Eelde-Paterswolde'.
