Omschrijving
De tegenover kasteel "Wolfrath" gelegen "Poolmolen": in oorsprong uit 1662 daterende, vermoedelijk rond 1900 gemoderniseerde, nog functionerende WATERMOLEN op de Geleenbeek.
Het in schoon metselwerk opgetrokken molengebouw heeft een met pannen gedekt zadeldak en over de Geleenbeek een aanbouw onder lessenaardak, waarin het ijzeren middenslagrad; deels houten, deels ijzeren drijfwerk (gietijzeren kamwielen) en drie koppels stenen; stuw met maal- en lossluis(-zen) ten behoeve van het creeren van voldoende verval om de molen te kunnen laten functioneren. Volledig en goed voorbeeld van een nog functionerende, in oorsprong oude en landschappelijk fraai gelegen middenslagmolen.

Description
The "Poolmolen" located opposite castle "Wolfrath": originally dating from 1662, presumably modernized around 1900, still functioning WATER MILL on the Geleenbeek.
The mill building constructed of fine brickwork has a gabled roof covered with tiles and an extension over the Geleenbeek under a lean-to roof, in which the iron middle-shaft wheel; partly wooden, partly iron drive mechanism (cast-iron gear wheels) and three pairs of millstones; weir with grinding and discharge sluice(s) to enable the creation of sufficient head to allow the mill to function. Complete and good example of a still functioning, originally old and scenically beautifully situated middle-shaft mill.
