Voormalig Koninklijk Koloniaal-militair Invalidenhuis "Bronbeek", in 1862-'63 gebouwd door W.N. Rose, in opdracht van koning Willem III. Langgerekt, witgepleisterd gebouw van twee verdiepingen, met midden- en zijrisalieten, die voorzien zijn van flauw hellende frontispicen. Daklijst met opengewerkte balustrade, waaronder boogfries. Enkelvoudige, gekoppelde of drievoudige rondboog schuifvensters met dito tracering, waarboven gestucte rondboogstaaf. Omlopende cordonlijsten. Boven ingang gietijzeren buste van koning Willem III. In interieur trappehuizen uit de bouwtijd. De waarde van het gebouw is met name gelegen in de vormgeving van het exterieur en de constructie. Tevens is het een goed en representatief voorbeeld van het gebouw uit het oeuvre van de architect W.N. Rose.

Description
Former Royal Colonial-military Invalid House "Bronbeek", built in 1862-'63 by W.N. Rose, on the orders of King Willem III. Elongated, whitewashed building of two storeys, with central and side risalits, which are provided with gently sloping pediments. Roof cornice with openwork balustrade, beneath which a moulded frieze. Simple, paired or triple round-headed sash windows with corresponding tracery, above which stucco round-headed moulding. Continuous cordon lines. Above entrance cast-iron bust of King Willem III. In interior staircases from the construction period. The value of the building lies particularly in the design of the exterior and the construction. It is also a good and representative example of a building from the oeuvre of architect W.N. Rose.
