Inleiding.
Vrijstaande villa uit 1908, ontworpen door de architecten Z. Hoek en J. Wouters in overgangsarchitectuur. Omschrijving.
Villa op onregelmatige plattegrond, bestaande uit begane grond en verdieping onder een samengestelde kap, twee assen breed. In de bakstenen gevels is veel hardsteen verwerkt onder andere voor de plint, hoekkettingen en deklijsten van de topgevels. Het vooruitspringende rechterdeel heeft een uitgebouwde erker over twee bouwlagen en wordt beëindigd door een gotiserende topgevel, geflankeerd door pinakels. Het linkerdeel van de gevel heeft een uitgebouwde begane grond, waarboven een balkon, afgesloten door een balustrade met driepas-openingen. De linker- en rechterzijgevel bezitten een hoger opgetrokken middendeel met gotiserende top. Aan de linkergevel bevindt zich op de begane grond een driezijdig uitgebouwde erker en op de verdieping een erker op hardstenen consoles. De rechtergevel bezit op de begane grond ten opzichte van elkaar verspringende aanbouwen; in de linker is de ingang in een portiek met hardstenen zuilen gesitueerd, waarvan de deur gotiserende panelen heeft. De achtergevel is aan de linkerkant driezijdig uitgebouwd, waaraan twee houten balkons met spitsbooghekken, rustend op dunne houten consoles. Aan de rechterkant is een veranda, waarboven een loggia met spitsbooghek en houten staanders. De vensters zijn drie- en tweelichtvensters. De dakkapellen zijn voorzien van Tudorbogen. Goed bewaard interieur met onder meer trappenhuis en trap in neo- renaissance, marmeren schouwen en stucplafonds. Bakstenen tuinmuur, stammend uit de bouwtijd. Waardering.
Pand van architectuurhistorische waarde als zeldzaam voorbeeld van vroeg 20e-eeuwse villa-architectuur, geinspireerd op de neo-gotiek, neo- renaissance en overgangs-architectuur. Hoofdvorm, detaillering en het interieur zijn gaaf bewaard. De villa heeft ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van een rij van drie, vrijstaande door tuinen omgeven kapitale villa's uit het eerste decennium van de 20e eeuw (tezamen met Eisenhowerlaan 132 en Prins Mauritslaan 1).

Villa on irregular floor plan, consisting of ground floor and first floor under a composite roof truss, two bays wide. The brick facades incorporate much ashlar stone, including for the plinth, corner chains and cornices of the gable ends. The projecting right section features an extended bay window over two storeys and is terminated by a Gothic-inspired gable end, flanked by pinnacles. The left section of the facade has an extended ground floor, above which is a balcony, enclosed by a balustrade with trefoil openings. The left and right side facades have a taller central section with Gothic-inspired top. On the left facade, on the ground floor there is a three-sided bay window and on the first floor an oriel window on ashlar stone consoles. The right facade has, on the ground floor, outbuildings offset from one another; in the left section the entrance is situated in a portico with ashlar stone columns, with Gothic-inspired panels on the door. The rear facade is three-sided extended on the left side, to which two wooden balconies with pointed-arch railings, resting on thin wooden consoles. On the right side is a veranda, above which is a loggia with pointed-arch railing and wooden posts. The windows are three- and two-light windows. The roof dormers are provided with Tudor arches. Well-preserved interior with, among other things, stairwell and staircase in neo-Renaissance, marble chimneypieces and stucco ceilings. Brick garden wall, dating from the construction period. Building of architectural-historical value as a rare example of early 20th-century villa architecture, inspired by neo-Gothic, neo-Renaissance and transitional architecture. Main form, detailing and the interior are well-preserved. The villa has ensemble value as part of a row of three detached villas surrounded by gardens from the first decade of the 20th century (together with Eisenhowerlaan 132 and Prins Mauritslaan 1).
