Inleiding.
Aan drie zijden vrijstaand voormalig hoofdgebouw van de " 's- Gravenhaagsche Melkinrichting De Sierkan", gebouwd in 1904 in overgangsarchitectuur door architect J.F.L. Frowein. Gerenoveerd in 1987. Omschrijving.
Gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit begane grond en twee verdiepingen onder een samengestelde kap. De gevel langs de Antonie Heinsiusstraat telt zestien vensterassen. In deze typische overgangsarchitectuur zijn motieven uit de neo-stijlen, Berlagiaanse invloeden en decoratieve elementen uit de Art Nouveau terug te vinden. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit baksteen waarin sierankers en polychrome tegeltableaux zijn aangebracht. Het horizontale aspect van de langgerekte gevel aan de Antonie Heinsiusstraat met de rijen licht getoogde vensters wordt onderbroken door drie hoger opgetrokken bouwblokken waarvan de linker, en de rechter op de hoek met de Stadhouderslaan ieder een loggia bezitten. De laatste heeft typische Berlagiaanse trekjes: een halfronde boog, geflankeerd door een veelhoekig traptorentje met spits. De korte gevel aan de Stadhouderslaan bezit aan de rechterkant een topgevel met decoratief metselwerk in de top en aan weerszijden langs de dakrand een bakstenen balustrade. Op de begane grond van de lange en de korte gevel bevinden zich halfcirkelvormige ingangs- en raampartijen, en op de eerste verdieping twee bakstenen erkers op trapvormig uitkragende consoles van hardsteen, bekroond door een bakstenen balustrade. Op de hoek met de Stadhouderslaan bevindt zich op de tweede verdieping een grote houten loggia gebouwd in chaletstijl. De vensters behoren overwegend tot het type T-venster met in roeden verdeelde bovenlichten. Tussen het hoger opgetrokken linker bouwblok en het middenblok rust de goot op hardstenen consoles en klossen, tussen het midden- en hoekblok is een bakstenen balustrade aangebracht. Aan weerszijden van het middenblok bevinden zich drie dakkapellen met lessenaarsdaken. In de achtergevel is in het licht risalerende middenblok de ingang van Stadhouderslaan 92-92n gesitueerd, met paneeldeur, waarboven een houten luifel. Aan de kant van de Stadhouderslaan is een tuinhek, opgebouwd uit baksteen en hardsteen, waarin een ijzeren deurtje met de letters "De Sierkan". Waardering.

Building on a rectangular floor plan, consisting of ground floor and two storeys under a composite roof. The facade along the Antonie Heinsiusstraat comprises sixteen window bays. In this typical transitional architecture, motifs from the neo-styles, Berlage influences and decorative elements from Art Nouveau can be found. The facades are built of brickwork in which ornamental wall anchors and polychrome tile tableaux have been incorporated. The horizontal aspect of the elongated facade on the Antonie Heinsiusstraat with rows of lightly arched windows is interrupted by three higher-built blocks, of which the left and the right one on the corner with the Stadhouderslaan each have a loggia. The latter has typical Berlage features: a semicircular arch, flanked by a polygonal small tower with spire. The short facade on the Stadhouderslaan has on the right a gable with decorative brickwork in the top and on either side along the roof edge a brick balustrade. On the ground floor of the long and short facades are semicircular entrance and window sections, and on the first storey two brick oriels on step-like projecting consoles of hard stone, crowned by a brick balustrade. On the corner with the Stadhouderslaan on the second storey is a large wooden loggia built in chalet style. The windows predominantly belong to the T-window type with fanlights divided into glazing bars. Between the higher-built left block and the central block the gutter rests on hard stone consoles and blocks, between the central and corner block a brick balustrade has been installed. On either side of the central block are three roof dormers with lean-to roofs. In the rear facade, the entrance of Stadhouderslaan 92-92n is situated in the slightly projecting central block, with a panel door, above which a wooden canopy. On the side of the Stadhouderslaan is a garden fence, constructed of brickwork and hard stone, in which an iron gate with the letters "De Sierkan". Valuation.

As a former business building of the Hague dairy establishment "De Sierkan" the building has cultural-historical value.
