Omschrijving.
Langs het water van de Trekvliet gelegen vrijstaand kantoorpand uit 1905-1907 in overgangsarchitectuur. Het pand bestaat uit twee bouwlagen en kapverdieping onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekte, samengestelde kap waarop gemetselde sierschoorstenen. De in schoon metselwerk opgetrokken gevels worden verlevendigd door hardstenen banden en sierlijke decoraties op de hoeken van de puntgevels. Het merendeel van de vensters bestaat uit houten twee- en drielichtvensters met schuiframen en kleine roedeverdeling in de bovenlichten. De hoofdingang aan de landzijde is in een risalerend bouwdeel opgenomen, dat van boven wordt afgesloten door een gemetselde open balustrade. De entree bestaat uit een dubbele paneeldeur. Hierboven is een mozaïek met daarin de afbeelding van gereedschappen bij de gasfabricage. Op de hoek rechts van de ingang is een portaaltje met sculptuur en een hardstenen pijler. In de top van de rechter zijgevel is in een gevelsteen het bouwjaar 1907 aangebracht. De gevel aan de zijde van de Trekvliet heeft een middenrisaliet met puntgevel. In het interieur is veel uit de bouwtijd bewaard gebleven. In de vestibule onder meer tegellambriseringen in Art Nouveau; tochtpui met snijwerk en figuratieve afbeeldingen in gezandstraald glas. In de hal onder meer een vloermozaiek en een schoorsteenmantel met ter weerszijde een houten lambrizering met zitbanken. De schoorsteenmantel heeft een tegeltableau met het opschrift: "Geschenk van de Vereeniging van Gasfabricanten in Nederland ter herinnering aan haar bezoek op 21.10.1907". Meteen hierboven is een tegeltableau met een voorstelling van de gasfabricage in de 19e eeuw. Het trappenhuis bezit onder meer een trap met ijzeren balustrade en een gesneden eindpaal. Waardering.

Detached office building from 1905-1907 in transitional architecture, situated along the water of the Trekvliet. The building consists of two storeys and an attic storey beneath a composite roof covered with pantiles and topped with brick ornamental chimneys. The facades, constructed in ashlar masonry, are enlivened by sandstone bands and ornamental decorations at the corners of the gabled roofs. The majority of the windows consist of wooden two- and three-light windows with sash frames and small glazing bars in the fanlights. The main entrance on the landside is incorporated in a projecting building section, which is closed off above by a brick open balustrade. The entrance comprises a double panelled door. Above this is a mosaic depicting tools used in gas manufacturing. On the corner to the right of the entrance is a small porch with sculpture and a sandstone pillar. In the apex of the right side gable is the construction year 1907 set in a facade stone. The gable facing the Trekvliet has a central projecting section with a gable. Much from the period of construction has been preserved in the interior. In the vestibule, among other things, wall panelling with tiles in Art Nouveau style; an entrance screen with carved work and figurative images in sand-blasted glass. In the hall, among other things, a floor mosaic and a fireplace mantel with wooden wall panelling and benches on either side.
