(Joppelaan bij 110) TWEE BAKSTENEN KEERMUREN/BRUGPIJLERS. Twee aan de zuidhoek van de gracht gelegen 19e-eeuwse rode bakstenen keermuren met versnijding aan de hoeken, die tegenover elkaar aan weerszijden van de zuidoostelijke grachtarm zijn gelegen. De muren, die vanouds het plankier van een brug torsen en als zodanig ook de functie van brugpijlers hebben (het huidige plankier is van recente datum en heeft geen monumentale waarde) zijn van een zandstenen afdekplaat voorzien.

Description
(Joppelaan at 110) TWO BRICK RETAINING WALLS/BRIDGE PIERS. Two 19th century red brick retaining walls with chamfered corners, situated at the south corner of the moat, located opposite one another on either side of the southeastern arm of the moat. The walls, which have traditionally supported the decking of a bridge and have as such also served the function of bridge piers (the current decking is of recent date and has no monumental value) are provided with a stone capping plate.
