Omschrijving
(Joppelaan bij 110) MENAGERIE. Houten 6-zijdige menagerie op rode bakstenen onderdorpel, in oorsprong daterend uit ca. 1825. De menagerie wordt voor het eerst genoemd in een koopacte uit 1828, maar staat nog niet geregistreerd op een kadastrale kaart uit 1818. Het gebouwtje is overkapt door een door eenvoudige op de hoeken geplaatste houten pijlers gestutte rieten dak met zes in een punt toelopende driehoekige dakschilden met een concaaf verloop. De zijden van de oranjerie zijn met gaas afgezet. Aan de NO-zijde een bakstenen aanbouw onder rieten lessenaarsdak, waarin zich twee menagerie-hokken bevinden. Aan de NO-zijde van de menagerie de twee ingangen naar deze aanbouw, bestaande uit een halfronde (links) en een rechthoekige (rechts) opening met schuifluik.

Description
(Joppelaan at 110) MENAGERIE. Wooden hexagonal menagerie on a red brick ground sill, originally dating from ca. 1825. The menagerie is first mentioned in a deed of sale from 1828, but is not yet registered on a cadastral map from 1818. The building is roofed by a thatched roof with six pointed triangular roof slopes with a concave profile, supported by simple wooden pillars placed at the corners. The sides of the menagerie are enclosed with mesh. On the NE side a brick extension under a thatched lean-to roof, in which two menagerie compartments are located. On the NE side of the menagerie are the two entrances to this extension, consisting of a semi-circular (left) and a rectangular (right) opening with sliding shutter.
