Inleiding.
Villa in chaletstijl, gebouwd in l882 naar ontwerp van I.F. Boers, op L-vormige plattegrond. Het pand staat vrij en is door een tuin omgeven. De tuin wordt aan de straatzijde afgesloten door een gietijzeren tuinhek op gemetselde voet.
Omschrijving.
Villa bestaande uit parterre en hoge verdieping, twee vensterassen breed, waarvan de rechter terugspringt en een plat dak bezit. Het linker gedeelte wordt gedekt door een zadeldak met leien en zink, een geschulpte gootlijst en aan de voorzijde een chaletvormig overstek met windveer, korbelen en rijk snijwerk. De ingang bevindt zich in een uitbouw onder een lessenaarsdak tegen de rechter zijgevel en bevat de voordeur en glas-in-lood uit de jaren twintig. Het pand bezit aan voor- en achtergevel houten serres met balkons, voorzien van gietijzeren balusterhekken. Tegen de voorgevel van de linker travee bevindt zich een houten balkon met houten balustrade, op voluutconsoles. De gevels worden verlevendigd door gepleisterde banden en blokken. Onder de windveer van de voorgevel is een cartouche in neorenaissance-omlijsting aangebracht. De vensters bezitten stolpramen van hout. Villa consisting of ground floor and high first storey, two window bays wide, of which the right projects back and has a flat roof. The left section is covered by a saddle roof with slate and zinc, a moulded gutter line and on the front a chalet-fashion overhang with wind brace, corbels and rich carving. The entrance is located in an extension under a sloped roof against the right side facade and contains the front door and leaded glass from the nineteen-twenties. The building has wooden conservatories with balconies on front and rear facades, fitted with cast-iron baluster railings. Against the front facade of the left bay is a wooden balcony with wooden balustrade, on scroll corbels. The facades are enlivened by plastered bands and blocks. Under the wind brace of the front facade a cartouche in neo-renaissance surround is placed. The windows have wooden casements. In the left side facade are arched windows on the ground floor; the first storey contains only an oculus.
