Inleiding.
Vrijstaande door een tuin omgeven eclectische villa uit 1879 op samengestelde plattegrond naar ontwerp van H. Wesstra jr.. De tuin wordt van de straat gescheiden door een ijzeren tuinhek.
Omschrijving.
Pand bestaande uit een twee bouwlagen tellende voorvleugel, een achtervleugel haaks daarop, eveneens twee bouwlagen, beide onder flauw hellende met zink gedekte zadeldaken en een drie bouwlagen hoog torenvormig hoekpaviljoen onder een flauwe hellend zinken zadeldak. De bakstenen gevels zijn witgepleisterd en worden verlevendigd door geblokte hoeklisenen, friezen met tegelwerk en houtwerk onder de kapverdieping. De voorvleugel heeft een tympaanachtige gevelbeeindiging waarin het hoofdgestel van de balkondeur en een opzetstuk met voluten en lofwerk is opgenomen. Op de punt en de uiteinden van het dak zijn acroteria geplaatst. Op de beletage is een veranda op slanke houten pijlers die door een houten balustrade verbonden worden. Boven de veranda is een balkon met rijk versierde opengewerkte borstwering en siervazen op de hoeken. De linker zijgevel is twee vensterassen diep. De risalerende linkeras heeft tegen de parterre een driezijdige erkeruitbouw; op deze erker een balkon met houten balustrade. De terugliggende rechter vensteras heeft op de verdieping een blindnis in de vorm van een raamkozijn. Het torenvormig hoekpaviljoen heeft tussen de bouwlagen geprofileerde waterlijsten tegen de gevels en blindnissen. Het dak wordt bekroond door een windwijzer op een met smeedijzer versierde paal. Voor de ingang is een natuurstenen trap met met ijzeren sierleuningen.

Villa met tuinhek van cultuurhistorische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van het wonen voor welgestelden aan het einde van de 19e eeuw in een stedelijk villapark. Building consisting of a front wing with two storeys, a rear wing at right angles to it, also with two storeys, both under gently sloping zinc-covered gabled roofs, and a three-storey tower-shaped corner pavilion under a gently sloping zinc-covered gabled roof. The brick facades are whitewashed and enlivened by rusticated corner pilasters, friezes with tilework and woodwork beneath the roof edge. The front wing has a tympanum-like gable termination which incorporates the main frame of the balcony door and an ornamental piece with volutes and foliage. Acroteria are placed on the apex and ends of the roof. On the bel étage is a veranda on slender wooden posts connected by a wooden balustrade. Above the veranda is a balcony with richly decorated openwork balustrade and ornamental vases at the corners. The left side facade is two window bays deep. The projecting left bay has against the ground floor a three-sided bay window; above this bay window a balcony with wooden balustrade. The recessed right window bay has on the upper storey a blind window in the form of a window frame. The tower-shaped corner pavilion has profiled drip mouldings between the storeys against the facades and blind windows. The roof is crowned by a weather vane on a post decorated with wrought iron. In front of the entrance is a natural stone staircase with wrought iron ornamental handrails.
