Inleiding.
Vrijstaande villa uit 1881-1882 in neo-renaissance ontworpen door W. Lamkamp en H. de Baan. Een authentiek ijzeren tuinhek vormt de begrenzing met de straat.
Omschrijving.
Villa bestaande uit souterrain, parterre en verdieping onder een met leien gedekte mansardekap. De in schoon metselwerk uitgevoerde gevels worden verlevendigd door witgepleisterde horizontale banden. De drie vensterassen brede voorgevel is symmetrisch van opzet met een vooruitspringende middenpartij. Boven het drielichtvenster van de parterre in de middenrisaliet is een brede gevelsteen, waarop de naam van de villa is vermeld. De twee rondboogvensters op de verdieping zijn door middel van een kolom met ionisch kapiteel gekoppeld. Boven deze vensters is in het hellend dakvlak een dakkapel met fronton. Voor het terugliggende linkerdeel van de gevel is een open houten veranda met korbelen. Aan de linkerzijde een breed glas-in-lood venster. Boven de veranda is een balkon met houten balustrade. Voor het terugspringende rechterdeel van de voorgevel is een in 1915 dichtgezette veranda met daarboven een balkon met houten balustrade.
Waardering.
Villa met tuinhek van cultuurhistorische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van het wonen voor welgestelden aan het einde van de 19e eeuw in een stedelijk villapark. Architectuurhistorisch van belang als waardevol voorbeeld van neo-renaissance architectuur. Hoofdvorm, detaillering en toegepast materiaal zijn gaaf.

Villa consisting of basement, ground floor and upper storey beneath a slate-covered mansard roof. The facades executed in fair-faced brickwork are enlivened by whitewashed horizontal bands. The three-bay-wide front facade is symmetrical in composition with a projecting central section. Above the three-light window of the ground floor in the central risalite is a wide facade stone on which the name of the villa is inscribed. The two round-arched windows on the upper storey are coupled by means of a column with Ionic capital. Above these windows is a roof dormer with pediment in the sloping roof plane. In front of the recessed left part of the facade is an open wooden veranda with corbels. On the left side a wide stained-glass window. Above the veranda is a balcony with wooden balustrade. In front of the recessed right part of the front facade is a veranda closed in 1915 with above it a balcony with wooden balustrade.
