Een 18e eeuws gebouw met twee bouwlagen en een mansarde-kap loodrecht op de werf.
Het huis is in tegenstelling tot de lagere oneven nummers aan de Twijnstraat alleen gericht op de Oudegracht. Toch kan de beganegrond gezien worden als kelder. Het pand heeft waarschijnlijk geen woonfunctie gehad.
De plattegrond van het huis heeft een nogal vreemde vorm, doordat het met een vak voor het achterhuis van Twijnstraat 9 doorloopt.
De kleine zijgevel heeft dezelfde opzet als de voorgevel, hetgeen de indruk wekt dat het huis twee verdiepingen heeft, terwijl de tweede verdieping slechts een zolder is. De voorgevel is vrijwel gelijk aan de voorgevel van het pand gelegen achter Twijnstraat 17 en 19.
In de 19e eeuw is de kap verbouwd tot mansardekap en is de eerste verdieping verdeeld in twee verdiepingen. Verder is het pand geheel 18e eeuws.

Description
An 18th-century building with two storeys and a mansard roof perpendicular to the courtyard.
Unlike the lower odd-numbered houses on Twijnstraat, this house is oriented only towards the Oudegracht. Nevertheless, the ground floor can be regarded as a basement. The building probably had no residential function.
The floor plan of the house has a rather strange shape, as it runs through a bay in front of the rear building of Twijnstraat 9.
The small side gable has the same design as the front facade, giving the impression that the house has two storeys, whereas the second storey is merely a loft. The front facade is virtually identical to the front facade of the building located behind Twijnstraat 17 and 19.
In the 19th century the roof was converted to a mansard roof and the first storey was divided into two storeys. Otherwise the building is entirely 18th-century.
In the early 19th or late 18th century the building was merged with the two neighbouring buildings to the south and with Twijnstraat 15 to form a business premises.
