Omschrijving
Middeleeuws hoekpand van twee bouwlagen met zadeldak (met wolfseind) loodrecht op de straat en kelder.
De gevel, die in de eerste helft van de 19e eeuw vernieuwd werd, is drie traveeën breed en heeft voor de zolder drie lage vensters onder de forse geprofileerde kroonlijst.
De rechter gevel aan de Wijde Watersteeg heeft vier geheel verschillende muurankers die duiden op een samengestelde balklaag boven de beganegrond. Het betreft een schootanker en drie sierankers, die in datering uiteenlopen van de 15e tot de 17e eeuw. Twee hiervan zijn in rijke vormen gesmeed en hebben drakekoppen, waarvan een met getordeerde hals. Het ene eindigt gevorkt, het andere heeft een leliemotief als top.
Slechts het voorste deel van het pand is onderkelderd. Deze zeer kleine middeleeuwse kelder (3,25 x 4,50 meter) is gedekt door een tongewelf, loodrecht op de straat, en heeft zijn kruin slechts twee meter boven het oorspronkelijke vloerpeil. In de achterwand bevinden zich twee kaarsnissen.
De balklaag boven de verdieping is zeer bijzonder. Het betreft hier een enkelvoudige balklaag van zes balken (ongeveer 110 cm h.o.h.) die aan de onderzijde halfrond zijn met aan weerszijden -uit een stuk met de balk- een profiel; hol met bandjes. De breedte van de balk is, inclusief profielen, 30 cm., de hoogte merkwaardigerwijs slechts 15 cm. Het profiel is 8 cm hoog.
Aan de onderzijde is (vermoedelijk later) een lat van 7 cm breed en 3 cm hoog toegevoegd. Door annexatie van twee achter het middeleeuwse pand gelegen huizen aan de Wijde Watersteeg (19e eeuws) is het pand uitgebreid. Rechts van de bijgetrokken woningen lag een rij middeleeuwse kamerwoningen die in 1962 gesloopt zijn, met uitzondering van de linker zijgevel die nu nog herkenbaar is in de "achtergevel" van het uitgebreide Twijnstraat 65.

Medieval corner building of two storeys with a gabled roof (with half-hipped roof) perpendicular to the street and a cellar.
The facade, which was renewed in the first half of the 19th century, is three bays wide and has for the attic three low windows beneath the substantial profiled cornice.
The right-hand facade on the Wijde Watersteeg has four entirely different wall anchors indicating a composite floor beam above the ground floor. These consist of a binding anchor and three ornamental anchors, which in dating range from the 15th to the 17th century. Two of these are wrought in rich forms and have dragon heads, one with a twisted neck. One ends forked, the other has a lily motif as its top.
Only the front part of the building is cellared. This very small medieval cellar (3.25 x 4.50 metres) is covered by a barrel vault, perpendicular to the street, and has its crown only two metres above the original floor level. In the rear wall are two candle niches.
The floor beam above the storey is very unusual. This concerns a single floor beam of six beams (approximately 110 cm centre-to-centre) which are semi-circular on the underside with, on either side -made from one piece with the beam- a profile; concave with bands. The width of the beam, including profiles, is 30 cm., the height remarkably only 15 cm. The profile is 8 cm high.
