Omschrijving
Middeleeuws hoekpand van twee bouwlagen met zadeldak loodrecht op de straat, met een voorschild aansluitend op de tot lijstgevel verlaagde voorgevel, met een moderne pui.
Het pand is, blijkens de ankers in de zijgevel, vijf vakken diep en heeft vermoedelijk zijn samengestelde balklagen bewaard. De kap rust op eiken spanten met gehakte telmerken en krommers.
De tuitgevel achter heeft duidelijk overkragende schouders op eenvoudig geprofileerde bakstenen. De eveneens nog middeleeuwse voorgevel is drie traveeën breed en heeft de oorspronkelijke ankers boven de verdiepingsramen bewaard.
Het markante middeleeuwse huis toont zijn karakter goed door zijn ligging op de hoek van straat en steeg.
Het pand is van bouwhistorische waarde als opvallend fors middeleeuws pand aan de Twijnstraat, mede van belang doordat het tezamen met Twijnstraat 50 een middeleeuwse steegingang vormt.

Description
Medieval corner building of two storeys with a gabled roof perpendicular to the street, with a front roof section adjoining the front facade reduced to a cornice-topped facade, with a modern shop front.
The building is, as evidenced by the anchors in the side facade, five bays deep and has presumably retained its composite floor beams. The roof rests on oak rafters with roughly carved carpenters' marks and curved braces.
The spout gable to the rear clearly has overhanging shoulders on simply profiled brick. The likewise still medieval front facade is three bays wide and has retained the original anchors above the storey windows.
The distinctive medieval house shows its character well through its location at the corner of street and alley.
The building is of architectural-historical value as a notable substantial medieval building on the Twijnstraat, being of importance also because, together with Twijnstraat 50, it forms a medieval alley entrance.
