Middeleeuws pand van twee bouwlagen, nok loodrecht op de straat, markant gelegen als koppand van de bebouwing tussen de straat en de werf. De eerste huizen hiervan liggen zowel aan de straat als aan de werf, zodat de kelder als werfkelder fungeert. In Twijnstraat 1 heeft deze een tongewelf loodrecht op de straat en de werf.
Het pand is in de 19e eeuw gemoderniseerd door het wijzigen van het dak in een schilddak en het aanbrengen van sierbepleistering op voor en achtergevel bestaande uit pilasters en imitatie natuursteenblokken onder brede kroonlijst. De voorgevel heeft links een risalerende travee met de ingang naar de bovenwoning. Rechts hiervan twee traveeën tussen pilasters. De rechtergevel bestaat uit vier traveeen, waarvan de middelste twee gekoppeld zijn onder een siermotief, met vier pilasters. Achter schuin het uitgemetselde blinde onderstuk gaat de (werf) kelder schuil.

Description
Medieval property of two storeys, ridge perpendicular to the street, markedly positioned as a corner property of the buildings between the street and the wharf. The first houses of which are located both on the street and on the wharf, so that the cellar functions as a wharf cellar. In Twijnstraat 1 this has a barrel vault perpendicular to the street and the wharf.
The property was modernised in the 19th century by changing the roof into a hipped roof and adding decorative plastering on front and rear facades consisting of pilasters and imitation natural stone blocks under a broad cornice. The front facade has on the left a projecting bay with the entrance to the upper dwelling. To the right of this two bays between pilasters. The right facade consists of four bays, of which the middle two are coupled under a decorative motif, with four pilasters.
