Middeleeuwse kelder, oorspronkelijk deel uitmakend van Twijnstraat 7.
Deze kelder is in twee delen verdeeld, wat overeenkomt met een voor- en een achterhuis. De kelder is voor wat betreft de beide delen gedekt met een enkelvoudige eiken balklaag.
Het voorste gedeelte is in de 19e eeuw, bij de herbouw van het voorhuis, opnieuw in tweeën gedeeld, waarbij het linker gedeelte in de hoogte in twee verdiepingen is verdeeld. Het onderste deel hoort bij Twijnstraat a/d werf 1C, het bovenste deel bij Twijnstraat 7.
In de rechter muur van het voorste deel bevinden zich diepe middeleeuwse nissen. In de rechter muur van het achterste deel is een schoorsteenkanaal ingemetseld.
De voorgevel is in de 18e eeuw van een nieuwe raamindeling voorzien.

Description
Medieval basement, originally part of Twijnstraat 7.
This basement is divided into two parts, which corresponds to a front and rear building. The basement is covered, for both parts, with a simple oak beam layer.
The front section was redivided in the 19th century, at the time of the reconstruction of the front building, whereby the left section was divided vertically into two storeys. The lower part belongs to Twijnstraat at the courtyard 1C, the upper part to Twijnstraat 7.
In the right wall of the front section there are deep medieval recesses. In the right wall of the rear section a chimney flue is built in.
The front facade was given a new window arrangement in the 18th century.
This basement is important as an example of a medieval component of the Twijnstraat buildings, forming a ground floor on the canal side.
