Fabrieksgebouw uit 1813, bestaande uit twee bouwlagen, een kap met mazanino en kelders.
Het pand is gebouwd bij de oprichting van een katoendrukkerij in 1813 door de gebroeders Pottner en Quincke op het aan de Biltstraat gelegen landgoed Gildestein.
Het fabrieksgebouw heeft een U-vormige plattegrond met de open zijde gericht op de Biltse Grift. Het is volledig op conventionele wijze opgezet met houten balklagen. Dit in tegenstelling tot de engelse praktijk in die periode, waar in het algemeen van gietijzeren constructies gebruik gemaakt werd.
De kelder werd gezien de ramen aan de voorzijde kennelijk ook als werkruimte gebruikt. Aan de achterzijde heeft de kelder vanwege de helling van het maaiveld het karakter van een souterrain.
De totale bouwconstructie uit 1813 is vrijwel onveranderd aanwezig. Aan de voorzijde zijn echter de ramen vernieuwd. De kozijnen zijn, met de duimen van de buitenluiken, nog aanwezig. Factory building from 1813, consisting of two storeys, a roof with mezzanine and cellars.
The building was constructed upon the establishment of a cotton printing works in 1813 by the brothers Pottner and Quincke on the estate Gildestein located on the Biltstraat.
The factory building has a U-shaped floor plan with the open side facing the Biltse Grift. It is entirely constructed in the conventional manner with wooden beam floors. This in contrast to English practice in that period, where cast iron structures were generally employed.
The cellar, given the windows on the front side, was apparently also used as a work space. On the rear side, due to the slope of the ground level, the cellar has the character of a semi-basement.
