Rijtuig-overkapping.
In 1887 naar de huidige plaats, tegen de rechtervleugel van het hoofdgebouw aan het Stationsplein, verplaatste overkapping met een licht geknikte lengte-as, in oorsprong gebouwd als treinhal van het vroegere Hollandse Spoorstation in 1862 ter lengte van achttien traveeën (ca. 99 m) en met een overspanning van 15 m. Van de op de nieuwe plaats als rijtuig- en Scheveningse stoomtramoverkapping bestemde treinhal zijn de vier aan het hoofdgebouw grenzende traveeen naderhand dichtgemetseld ten behoeve van een rijwielstalling; de pijlers dragen hier het opschrift PLETTERIJ DEN HAAG 1892.
De zadeldakvormige overkapping heeft houten dakvlakken, per travee verdeeld in drie velden door ijzeren Polonceauspanten; de constructie rust aan de spoorzijde op een bakstenen keermuur en aan de pleinzijde op een reeks slanke vierkante kolommen, die in de lengterichting zijn verbonden door een gietijzeren tralieligger; tussen de liggers en de kapvoet een glazen windscherm met in vierkanten en ruitvormen onderverdeling in ijzer aan de lange zijde; aan de korte zijde een soortgelijke vulling, doch zonder glasruiten. In de bakstenen keermuur bevindt zich in het midden de - inmiddels dichtgezette - uitgang, omlijst door Dorische zuilen en voorzien van een rondbooghek met siersmeedwerk in Art Nouveautrant.

Carriage roof.
Roof moved in 1887 to its current location, against the right wing of the main building at the Stationsplein, with a slightly kinked longitudinal axis, originally built as a train hall of the former Hollandse Spoorstation in 1862 with a length of eighteen bays (approximately 99 m) and a span of 15 m. Of the train hall intended for use as a carriage and Scheveningen steam tram roof at its new location, the four bays adjoining the main building were subsequently filled in for the purpose of a bicycle shed; the pillars bear here the inscription PLETTERIJ DEN HAAG 1892.
The gabled roof-shaped roof covering has wooden roof surfaces, divided per bay into three fields by iron Polonceau trusses; the construction rests on the track side on a brick retaining wall and on the square side on a series of slender square columns, which are connected in the longitudinal direction by a cast-iron truss beam; between the beams and the roof edge a glass windscreen with subdivision in squares and diamond shapes in iron on the long side; on the short side a similar filling, but without glass panes. In the brick retaining wall is located in the middle the - meanwhile filled in - exit, framed by Doric columns and provided with a round arch gate with decorative ironwork in Art Nouveau style.
