Omschrijving
Kampwachterswoning gelegen in het 'benedenkamp' met nok evenwijdig aan de Kon. Julianaweg. Gebouwd in 1879 als woonhuis voor "den conducteur der artillerie". In 1884 verhuisd deze naar de overzijde van de weg en wordt de kampwacht hier ondergebracht. Oorspronkelijk was dit gebouw qua hoofdvorm en gevelafwerking gelijk aan de tegenover gelegen woning (nr 71). Eind jaren 50 is het pand verbouwd waarbij de voordeur naar de linker zijgevel werd verplaatst, het dakvlak ter plaatse werd verlengd en aan de achterzijde een uitbouw werd gerealiseerd.
Bouwmassa van een laag met kap op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Wit gepleisterde gevels van imitatievoegen voorzien, met een zwartgeteerde plint. Het zadeldak is gedekt met keramische o.v.h. pannen in een gesmoorde uitvoering en heeft in voor- en achterschild een dakkapel. In de voorgevel twee, van luiken voorziene vensters, met een licht gebogen bovendorpel met schuifraam (indeling 2x(1+2)). Onderdorpels van hardsteen. In de rechterzijgevel een schuifraam en een klein, later aangebracht, venster met rechte bovendorpel (1x3/1x3). Boven een venster met draairaam (1x2/1x2). De linker zijgevel heeft twee grote vensters met schuifraam en luiken en op de verdieping een venster gelijk aan dat in de rechter zijgevel. Links is de entreedeur. Aan de achtergevel een bakstenen gebouw met een plat dak. Links daarvan een houten aanbouw gedekt met golfplaten.
De verbouwing van de linker zijgevel en de twee aanbouwen aan de achterzijde laten het vormbepalende karakter overeind. Samen met het naastgelegen arsenaal (nr 74) en de nabij gesitueerde woning (nr 71) vormt dit pand de kern van de eerste aanleg van het 'benedenkamp' van het ASK. Het gebouw is zowel op zichzelf als in samenhang met de nabij gelegen gebouwen van algemeen belang wegens de aan het gebouw verbonden geschiedkundige herinneringen. Het houdt de geschiedenis van het Artillerie Schietkamp zichtbaar.

Description
Camp keeper's dwelling located in the 'benedenkamp' with ridge parallel to the Kon. Julianaweg. Built in 1879 as a dwelling for "the artillery conductor". In the right side facade a sash window and a small, later installed, window with straight upper sill (1x3/1x3). Above a window with casement (1x2/1x2). The left side facade has two large windows with sash window and shutters and on the upper storey a window identical to that in the right side facade. To the left is the entrance door. On the rear facade a brick building with a flat roof. To the left of it a wooden extension covered with corrugated sheeting.
The reconstruction of the left side facade and the two extensions on the rear side leave the character-defining nature intact. Together with the adjacent arsenal (no. 74) and the nearby situated dwelling (no. 71) this property forms the core of the first layout of the 'benedenkamp' of the ASK.
